My game keeps crashing every 5-10 minutes - PS3

I bought Defiance for PS3 with the season pass the day Sony did it's maintenance and was already annoyed I had to wait for that to finish before I could play my new game. When I finally was able to play my game kept freezing where enemies had 0 health left and wouldn't die, the AI for enemies turned off, my shield and health wouldn't regenerate, menus came up blank if at all and before I know it I'm at the home screen with a message that reads - CRITICAL - The defiance service is not available. Please try again later. I have not been able to play the game longer than 5-10 minutes at the most before being dropped since I got it and I'm still having the same problem. I deleted everything, re-installed, checked router settings, disabled media player in my PS3, nothing seems to work. If this is indeed a server crashing issue can someone please tell me when it is expected to be fixed so I can actually start enjoying my game?

Lol i hope you are a patient man because i do not see a patch coming anytime soon. I have also stopped playing until i see things fixed and that sux because all my boosts are being wasted and i am missing out on episode missions but there is not a damn thing i can do about it

i cant even view my map or character screen without it freezing. love to pay and not play.
