Challenges are pure garbage

Maybe its just me. But I really find the challenges in the gam as pure garbage. Pure. Utter. Garbage.

Starters the interface is a jumbled mess. I can not find what the Silver level is. At start it only shows gold. With everything going on I do not have time to scan the screen. The info really needs to be upfront.

The racing? Do not even get me started on that. Finished Gold few times only to have 4+ secs added on to the time.

The difficulty of the challenges I think are very unforgiving and unattainable unless someone wants to sit there all day doing one. That is simply not fun or enjoyable -- it is just frustrating and pure rubbish. I can not reach Silver in Draw the Line at all. The boundaries in the game are like BAM! you are out. Not enough warning. Just BAM! over.

The interface being horrible also goes for multiplayer. Am I on Utah? Delaware? Damned if I know? Does not tell you at start or anything. Just throws you in mess of a game that it is. "Here figure it out" Really? I have to figure everything out in this game? Not like the instructions it came with are informative. Wait. There are none.

I really want to like this game. I did at first. Enjoyed the beta. Purchased the Ultimate GameStop Edition. Then the cheap and utter rubbish of the Final Boss mixed with the rubbish that is the Challenges has me wanting to just forget this game and enjoy the TV show.

Done venting. The game has sooooo much potential and its not even close to it in any way.

Granted Trion being forced to shove this game out in time for the TV show did them zero favors. But some information being released to us would be nice. Heck, the first week we were getting almost a daily update via the Community Blog. That at least left me feeling better as to knowing what and when working on stuff.

Sorry folks. Just frustrated, disappointed, and irritated beyond belief with this game at this time and its current state. Poor would be an understatement.

Not sure why you're so rushed to start the challenges. If you weren't, you might just have noticed the arrow, meaning hit right on the joystick, and you'll see the silver score.

Also, hardly any of the challenges are truly hard. Take cover? Get a faster recharging shield? You don't have 10 seconds to hide in them.

The adding 4 seconds is called lag. Your connection must suck, because I managed to do them all and get gold, even when the server was lagging extreme. Took me 40 tries or so to get through the second gate on one of them because it wasn't registering.

In PVP, red is bad. Blue is friendly. Mystery solved.

The only actual challenge I had an issue with was the Hotshot: Chicken Reservoir. There is a strategy to get gold on all the challenges, I got gold on all of them my first or second attempt. The game is a work in progress, I bought the game with full knowledge that the game was going to have It's faults, but nonetheless most if not all games that come out nowadays are most likely going to be a work in progress. This is the game's early stages Trion is working diligently to fix the issues that are presented, and actually listen to their community.

I personally have been playing the game all day everyday since day one, even in the alpha and beta. If you watched the Behind the scenes video they gave some game play footage at the end of the video. There is a strategy to defeating the final boss as well, someone did make a thread on that. So with other games in mind how much of those actually change? That being said I will keep playing, seeing the game unfold as I play.

Runners do not drive steadily for me. Heck, running forward, sometimes my character jogs to the right despite my holding the stick steadily in the forward position. Two different controllers perform the same. If it's just my thumb, well, I'm screwed. This erratic control ruins the racing challenges, or at least the Gold level. Hit Bronze on one so far but that's kinda useless. Haven't tried more due to looking for a solution.

As far as rampages, that's just practice in what to do, and I'll get that eventually...

The challenges are great, they're supposed to frustrate you, they're challenges.

I've had the same problem with the time trials, you just have to go even harder.

If you want to see the requirements for the silver and bronze just press right when you have the challenge up.

As for PvP, you are always the blue teams in your own eyes, well as far as I know anyway.

I agree that there's no tutorial, and it bugs me to death. That four-second add during races is prolly just lag. Yeah it's dirty and disgusting, but that's what happens in an always-online game.

The final boss isn't hard, just friggin' annoying. I quit fighting him after an hour of losing and power-leveled my character for a while. I went back when I had the 3% health regen perk and just kept dodging. There's an amazing video guide on youtube.

Runner level 13 now. Haven't tried in a while. Maybe at 19, before I abandon runners so they don't get reset...

Well, I'm not buying more controllers until I find out if some electrical thing might be going bad causing the signal to be garbled between the controller and the 360. It's not more than a few feet, but it's been in operation about 4 years and might be decaying somehow. Nobody said a Jasper model would last forever, they just weren't supposed to RROD as much...
