Why can't I see peoples names?!

I hate this. My gf & I cannot see other peoples names & can only see each others when in a group.

It's just blank & at times you don't know who is who. We play on two different Xbox's & it's been like this for days.

It has to do with Voice. They did that because people on the PC version were reporting other players and getting their accounts frozen or banned for false reports. So they made it when another person talks you can see their nameplate, otherwise when people aren't talking you won't see it. Pretty nifty I say if it cuts down on idiots who try to get others in trouble for no reason. Though I have notices while I'm on Xbox if I'm in Xbox live party chat that disables the voice in game and I can see peoples nameplates. Oh another thing i discovered, if you have the BMG you'll be able to see the peoples names when your reticule is over them.

TL;DR With voice enabled, nameplates only show when someone is talking due to people being idiots

Have yet to see that work yet. Haven't used a BMG weapon yet though, so I can't test what a previous person said.

Targeting players with a BMG definitely shows their Nameplate. You get Gamertag, Character Name and Clan displayed. As far as I am aware this is the only way of being able to identify players.
