So now that I have experienced the PvP (I played around 4 hours yesterday), I have come to the conclusion that what is missing is not nerfs or buffs to the guns/powers themselves (though hit detection on some of the ranged weapons could get tightened up a bit), but new methods of inhibiting or deterring that style of play to become prevalent. I believe this could be done with a simple thing called the mine.

Mines would fit nice and snug in our grenade slot, and have a 1 or 2 placement cap (laid out in the world). The trigger/blast radius would be roughly 2 to 3 times the size of the mine. The damage would be comparable to a frag grenades max damage or slightly higher (because youre basically point blank in the mines range you get max damage).

Mines are tools to make people think twice about running and gunning full speed through maps in PvP, they slow the pace of the fight down a little bit so that people must think before taking that next step. Of course there would be counters. Perhaps Decoy would trigger mines and Blur users would move through the trigger/blast radius so fast they would not get hit. And if there is a guy on a tower that has mines covering the ladder? Don't climb the ladder, switch to a loadout or find someone with a Sniper rifle!

Anyways, it's just an idea that I would love to see. I think it would be a great addition to the game and PvP.
