How do you think Trion's concurrency is after 3 weeks?

    Hey everyone,

So yeah, as the title says, what you think this has now turned around to be like? I'm sure many of us have noticed things taking long to group up for, small number of people at arkfalls and whatever other things you would normally see a lot of people in and around.

In my personal opinion I think they've seen a big decrease in concurrency since last week and it's been dropping. I imagine it will hit another high spike after episode 2 has been released, but then it will dribble off again after the follow day or two.

Also I know I've heard many have said/decided they will be playing Neverwinter while they wait for Trion to get their act together with Defiance, especially with Neverwinter being F2P and does look very nice I have to say.

But anyway, so what is your opinion on what you feel is happening from what you've seen or heard?

between you an dtaaltos i feel like you ****s are viral marketers or just fanboys working hard for your imaginary commissions for your respective companies.

tbh on the question, idd the player activity will peak with each episode. i mean what did you expect?

there are a lot less players around these days and its getting hard to chat with people. (that was a joke by the way)
if the tv show survives i think the game will continue like a tumor.

Myeah ... haven't played for a week, have patched, gonna wait for them to sort out this mess. Tried out AoW in the mean time, downloading Swtor now to get me through the next few weeks until Neverwinter hits open-beta. Hoping City of Steam will be in beta too soon. Maybe I'll go back to playing Warframe and give Warface a go after I received a key.

So far my schtako bin of gaming is growing at an alarming rate: GW2, TSW, D3, POE, DEFIANCE & AOW. Only releases since the beginning of 2012 that I've enjoyed have been Borderlands 2, X-COM, The Witcher 2, Guild Wars 2 Betas, Dead Island (4daco-oplolz) and Tomb Raider.
SHTAKO? SHTAKO SHTAKO! SHTAKO SHTAKO SHTAKO!?

Why so mean Dirtyklingon *sniff*! Nah I post whats on my mind and I post bluntly, no beating around the bush. Either way I can see what you mean, but I would love to get paid for causing trouble on forums.

*goes off to google to see if that job does exist*

So Trion should have a nice phrase "Trion the money maker for other developers!" xD

I know I'll be giving Neverwinter a try. I'm very very tempted to buy the 200$ founder pack, but then again 200$ could be better spent on other games, which are coming out this year, so I may put that money to one side and just buy the 50$ guardian pack thing.

Everyone and their Aunt Betsy plowed through the available content and quickly grew bored.
With rare exception, this is what happens when you make a game ridiculously easy up to and including all end game content.

At end game we have contracts, arkfalls, broken pursuits and co-op maps. These are all highly repetitious, pathetically simple, and not enough to hold interest for many. PvP has potential, but is riddled with cheaters thanks to a horrible decision to have client side player data storage.

Population will spike for each DLC release, people will plow through that as well, then it will die down again. Trion doesn't need customer retention/subscribers...so it doesn't really matter if people plow through their content as long as they come back to buy the DLC packs.

I want to continue playing but I was trying a few pursuits earlier and they were a horrible experience. There was lagging on the Time Trials which made it a real challenge to get gold. Then you have hotshot missions like Reservoir Chickens which is just plain pain in the a**. Furthermore with only a small amount of content I am quickly loosing interest in the game, and from what I heard lots of people feel that way.

This is a real surprise coming from having been in the Rift beta and loving the Rift launch which was solid. This game just feels rushed. I can only assume they were under a time crunch due to the TV Show dates. Thus they were forced to get as much working as possible at launch, instead of launching when it was actually ready to be played.

The unfortunate thing is though, it will leave a bitter taste in some gamers mouths and they won't want to come back. I have faith in Trion, and as a developer I can relate to their pain. I can only hope they overcome these obstacles and smooth things out both with the game and the community. They are definitely capable and have shown it in Rift. They just need that kind of love to be given to this game.

Know how I got the "Land a kill shot on a Progenitor" task done?

I arrived at a major scrapper Arkfall by myself. I beat all of the minor Arkfalls by myself. Then I fought the Progenitor.. by myself. A major in-game event was solo'd because there wasn't a single soul in San Fransisco. Yay population count.
