Part of the problem is how games portray females in the games.

Look at all the MMOs out there. They guys are fully covered, and the women are nearly nude.
I guess game companies still think this is the 80's where it was just guys playing video games.

Can't see where there is a problem. Should women be portrayed like ugly jubba huts?

I have to chime in here and say I agree. Ever since Tomb Raider I've preferred female characters in 3rd person games. I'd rather be watching Lara Crofts shapely behind for hours at a time than the 'Duke' Humouredly misogynistic flat ***. But that's beside the point of the first post.

See, this is what I hate. The belief that because some men are carnal animals who will howl like a chimp at the first sight of firm bum, all men are carnal animals. I'm as likely to look at a beautiful fresco, or the sweep of a willow's branch as a woman's bum. Hell, I can even admire a man's bum as part of the whole without once thinking about sex.

OP.. and others.. What you call "perverted" is a biological norm.. it's supposed to happen. That's part of being a living creature. Perversion however, and this of course depends on the opinion of a person as far as degrees, is something we invented.. a social construct to dictate and attempt to restrain our base needs. Men don't stare at boobs and butts because they are perverted. they are actually, whether they know it or not, assessing the viability of potential selection for a breeding mate. Seeing if the structure is beneficial to a good birth, and if that female has the potential to provide sufficient nutrition. This is the same reason females are attracted to, more muscular men, men who are fit (yes.. jocks) and capable of physically defending her and her brood. Men able to provide the more hardy nutrition via the hunt..

so.. in regards to what is perverted.. should we not simply consider things such as.. sexual interest in those not in their prime for breeding as perverted? those interested in sexual activity with others that cannot produce offspring nor provide a life for them or their children?

having an interest.. digitally or otherwise, in the opposite sex is not only as far from being perverted as possible, but natural.
