ahem.. don't blame it all on them.. it was their own who shackled and sold them in the first place.. for that matter, how do they demand reparations from a people who already payed for them before? (bad joke? But a fact none the less....), no, you insist on putting all people of one color in the same "boat" and demand they all pay for what others did... The fact that Africans are the ones who SOLD Africans.. by your logic, makes all black people slave traders? and yes.. white people have been enslaved plenty.. by their own kind and others.. IMO.. stop focusing on one point in history and basing everything on that, you need to take in all of history and learn from it or be doomed to repeat it.
context is amazing.

I'm confused as to why everything gets turned into some huge debate.
And yet we would not even understand the science of it if some of us hadn't ignored the "genetic disposition" that made us "human", by your reckoning.
It may be training. But that training, generation after generation, lead to the development of the internet. The space shuttle. The Curiosity Rover. While all other animal life on planet Earth plucks the bounty of food, has sex, and sleeps in the sun, humans deprive themselves in the pursuit of improvement. I would prefer to be human than any other animal on this planet.
ah.. but is it really "improvement"?
when was the last time man evolved?.... Been a REALLY long time.... why is that?
because we control our environment.. everything about it, and still participate in other activities that rely on our earlier features.. thus.. things that would no longer be needed are still around, and thus we have not made any changes on an evolutionary scale, positive or otherwise. these "Improvements" have really just put us on a path of destruction. Better mortality rate, longer life, less death, against a planet that is the same size it was in the beginning... we are growing, and one day there will be more mouths to feed than we have food for. Perhaps that scenario will be enough for us to evolve something.. good chance we may produce less children, our diets may change (but will it be enough and in time?), and hopefully, our cognitive structure will evolve enough to either solve the issue here or find a way to easily travel over 93 MILLION lightyears and greater in search of a new place to live..
improvements....
