And now they start to park up next to a crystal, obscuring the view if cryssie had a weak spot or not.
This is very true ^_^ Talking as an experienced Motha Trucker!! 360 uk Light Yagami if you have seen me on the leaderboard in a truck I can do double the damage dealt of the person in no2 rank and get around 3/400 kills per arkfall. At the end of the day we get to play as we choose. I tend to circle the outer perimeter of an arkfall where the larger NPC's spawn and yes it is a 1 hit kill... Why moan about no ammo dropping when you didn't have to shoot the thing in the first place. In the minor events during a major arkfall I will normally jump to the next arkfall ahead of the major group and rack up kills there, as soon as the main group arrives I jump in my truck and hit the next one ^_^ Also if I am driving around and see a solo person being chased by a hellbug whilst you're all shooting the boss I will do my best to hit that alien shtako into a thousand pieces. I also head straight to anyone who is downed, jump out, revive them then speed of into the night...
Sure rage all you want it's not going to affect my play style. Even the arkfalls that have walls and barricades on can be driven around and chaos can be created per se but to be fair if someone has the skill to manoeuvre those gaps without getting stuck kudos to them.
My thoughts on "Grinding"

Simple!, trucks and cars that circle the crystal's in arkfall's get shredded by all the firepower being shot at the crystal/bugs etc !
Have new gold Skitterlings that spawn. These are the same as normal Slitterlings, except if you run over them they explode doing obscene damage to vehicles. It would give the vehicle monkeys some risk.
Oh, and they leave bio goo behind too, so the driver is impaired.
I think they should have a tutorial on how to do an Arkfall. I think this would help alot. I have mentioned this in the past but people have said it would make the tutorial too long.
Exclude vehicle damage in rankings.
Let Arkfalls grant some weapon experience (like 20% instead of a flat zero)
Put barriers at red crystals.
That should reduce the number of these reckless hit and run truck drivers.
#1 reason for this is people running out of ammo, and either there is no ammo cache or the limited amount of ram on the persons system has stopped world item loading so they can't spot an ammo cache. Without removing themselves from the fight they resort to attempting to run **** over so they can collect ammo drops; namely from skitterlings.
The devs needs to implement some method to keep ammo in supply and ensure any caches have priority loading, if that's something that the game engine can even support. Otherwise there's always the option of adding a power or actual ego skill that regens ammo over time or calls in a supply drop/something similar.
Personally i'd prefer the supply drop, but that's just me.
Once that's done the devs can fully disable the ability to spawn a vehicle, as is done in indoor missions, whenever a player enters the marked red arkfall zone on the map.
