Datarecorder "New World Thugs" is missing

I also watched the Youtube Videos (all about one week old). The recorder was near the crates on the 2nd floor. The Barn on Miwok Ranch.

I was going through a list collecting data recorders and then couldn't find this one. Based on the responses I found, you apparently need to be at a point in the main storyline that leads to that farm. I've barely finished Act 2, so I'm not there yet. Can anyone else confirm the accuracy of this?

It unlocks after you complete a mission.

yes some Data recorders do not unlock until certain missions complete.

as others said, and so many videos fail to say, there's a quest that takes you to that farm that unlocks the recorder to be found.

So even if i already completed the game and i'm not at the part where i need to be for it to be tangible... I cant just run in and grab it.... Lame

Don't forget to mention that quest to unlock the data recorder is bugged they are working to fix it though
