So if we applied the preorder code to our account, we should automatically get an invite, correct ??, The Defiance page still says

Trion Worlds will be mailing out PC Beta invites to download on (3/21/2013) evening PT time frame. If you pre-ordered Defiance from Steam your tokens will come directly from Steam. For Steam users, the Beta will not run through the Steam client, you will redeem your code and need to download the Beta client from Trion Worlds website.

The final beta, which is not representative of the final game, will let players explore the Mt. Tam and Madera regions with Co-op battles on Angel Island and the Cronkhite Bunker. For Ark Hunters looking to test their might in some competitive multiplayer action, the Freight yard and Observatory will provide opportunities to prove themselves worthy of Von Bach Industries’ recruitment.

Thanks to a partnership with Dodge, we revealed last week that players pre-ordering Defiance will also get an exclusive in-game red Dodge Challenger at launch, in addition to the previously announced pre-order reward items. The Dodge Challenger is the fastest vehicle in the game and players in the BETA will get to test drive it first by competing in the Dodge time trial challenge located in Madera.

I've been looking over the forums, but can't seem to find a clear answer for steam users.

So, if I am understanding it right people who pre-ordered from steam don't have any code to register yet. The day before beta steam users will get an e-mail from steam with the code, and at that time we can register for beta.

Is that about right? I've been going over the forums and trying to piece together what to expect. It all just seems confusing because so far I have not seen anyway to connect my pre-order from steam to my Trion account.

I applied the Beta Key I got of the website also linked on the forums, and it worked. So I just now have to wait for the instructions I suspect with the download location.

Signed up to the site and did the beta sign up via the defiance site but per-ordered the game via steam a few days later. Here is to hoping I get my download info on time.

2013-3-20 Defiance Beta Defiance Beta Event Release Week

So the website with keys some of us talked about its the 20th in some places 12 am or past it, and I have yet to get an email explaining what to do so whats up with that? If I have 30 meg connection with a 5 meg up and download speed, if the connection is good would that mean the beta for this game would only take 51 minutes? Or would it take longer since if it stays at 5 megs a second it would take 3000 something seconds and you then divided that by the 60 seconds and it takes about 51 minutes?

I would give it another 12hours as its 0140 PDT atm and they said they will be send them out in the evening.
