Are there ever gona be any new missions? (Non DLC)

I remember before the game came out during one of the interviews with the devs they said that every week there will be new content put in the game for free as part of the game. The show was going to change the game. They were giving the intentions that new missions would be added to play allong with the show...so far nothing has been added except these silly lanterns you light and they fly away...WHOOPTIE DOOO!!!

Why was 343 able to have weekly shows for spartan ops along with 5 new missions every MONDAY ON TIME, ON POINT. This game.....well, nothing.

i think the patch or lack of, for ps3 has something to do with it.

You know?! WTF IS UP WITH THIS ****!!!!I got this game so hyped for new missions every week like Spartan ops was...But they lied and fails just like how Homefront was....This is EXACLY the same as HOMEFRONT just in MMO form...same kind of fails. That game didnt last 4 months.

Yes. It may be an unrealistic expectation for us to hold, but that doesn't matter-- we were led to expect it (by them), were given an example (by them) they could not match, and were sold a game under that misleading information (from them). That's why people are pissed.

The game just rolled out, the television show has been on for one week. I think they are more interested in working out the kinks, bugs and glitches before they start to roll out the new content. If you watch the Defiance commercials during the television show you see loads of cut scenes during the commercial which are no where in the game. Does that mean that will be content we get in the future or content that was cut... who knows.

I just think you need to give them the benefit of the doubt atm, especially since they seem hard at work trying to fix the bugs and releasing patches. It would be nice if the patch notes were actually accurate in terms of what they fixed. Seemed half the stuff listed as fixes in the patch notes weren't actually fixed at all. Still angry I got ripped out of my ego levels for my cars... Level 17 and level 18 yet got no retroactive xp from them.

Also my pursuits seem to be going in reverse when the notes said they were fixed. Pfft... growing pains, growing pains.

16 days after launch currently. They have failed to release a single fully-functional major bugfix patch.

They're already 16 days behind their previous release in terms of stability. Their previous release at launch was easily a year ahead, if not two, of this game in terms of content.

I was talking in terms of new game content, you are right they should have started to sort some of these issues out by now. That's the nature of the beast when talking about licensed products. The game needed to come out before the television show. If the game wasn't ready it didn't matter because it needed to come out. The game needed another month or two of polish beta to actually get it ready to roll. It was rushed and as a result we are playing a beta product being sold as a complete product.

If the game wasn't ready and got pushed back, the whole ambitious plan would have been ruined. I think eventually these issues will get fixed, although it might take until the show takes their first television break.. Which I'm not sure this game will survive that long. I think currently content is being pushed on the back burner to the bug fixes.

Which IMO is fine, the only thing that ultimately will hurt is it removing content from the game. Even the Episode 2 pursuit has content which isn't in the game. Everything about this game just screams beta if not alpha. Clearly rushed out before the television show. Such a shame because the game seems to have some pretty solid ideas and concepts, but the rushed nature of the games makes it really hard to enjoy these.
