Drop rates are a drag.

My main character has an EGO rating of 1,000+ now and so far I've had only one purple item drop. I'm just wondering if this has just been my own terrible luck or if this is normal. I've obtained the majority of my purple guns through vendor's specials and Tier boxes, but I wish that they were more obtainable. It seems like everything I pick up from battle is only good for scrapping.

Ive never seen a creature drop better than blue. I got all my purples and oranges from boxes, or purple at arkfalls sometimes.

Had an enemy drop a purple detonator on a co-op mission. And I got my first Orange Weapon today out of a Tier 3 lockbox. Orange BMG. EGO = 821+

Keep in mind... MMO not Borderlands everything doesn't poop out shinies, lol.

but I do agree that drop rates are still pretty bad. Even at the common/uncommon/rare levels. Wouldn't mind looting a few more greens and blues.

edit*- personally I'd say, off mob kills- blues should be upped to the current green drop rate, greens to whites current, whites to grenades current.

I'm find with not finding purples and oranges on a regular basis. I'm down with keeping their rates low. Perhaps 100%fix scoreboards and make score(damage/healing) effect final loot quality?

if a white is generally about equal to a purple in base stats... And you have to switch your weapons out to skill gain. Why do you need purples so bad? lol

just use the whites greens and blues till you luck out with that low drop chance and get a purple or orange worth leveling and decking out with quality mods.

think about it this way to- you want to be bad ***? Better guns then your buddies? Low drop rate is better then. Not every idiot is running around with uber weapons... God forbid people spend the small amount of time playing it takes to buy a tier box lol.
