I dont get it... Defiance/MMO gets 5.5 | BioShock Infinate/Single player only 9.7

Actually.. no I don't think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. That was CoH, which sadly closed down due to the ownership company being nothing but a bunch of *****. I however WILL debate any issue that YOU or ANYONE else comes up with that is totally false and nothing but misconception. If YOU can't see how that works, perhaps you should keep your opinions to yourself? Just because "others" can't get out of their pre-programmed gear-grinding rutts that every other MMO out there gives you to play, doesn't mean that this is a bad game. If YOU can't see how the game itself has evolved from that standard shtako playstyle of mashing buttons for better gear.. or where your gear = your greatness = your community acceptance mindset, then quite obviously anything that Defiance is doing is well beyond your scope of reason, and I hope you do find the next button-mash to be more to your liking.

My apologies, I didn't realize your opinion was more important that everyone else's. Please excuse my faux pas. I do find it interesting that people find no fault in this game worth talking about. Instead they find it perfectly ok to find fault in every single issue that people raise about this game. Are people's self worth so closely tied to this game that they are forced to put their head in the sand to avoid facing reality?

At the end of the day, most people ignore reviews due to the conspiracy theories of companies not being paid off enough. All I know is us as personal owner reviewers make the difference. So put your word across to make that difference.

Also a lot of people who have given bad reviews do not understand the concept of mmo genera. They will compare this to regular games that they usually play on consoles and have no understanding of what this type of game tries to deliver.

This has hit consoles which ps3 only has a handful of mmos and the second attempt at xbox so some people are not used to the initial release with bugs.

Also interesting to note the user score on Metacritic for Defiance is 7.5 - Rated by people who choose to play games because they want to, not because they get paid to.

I never go by user scores as they always tend to be either 1's or 10's. Average gamers are not capable of being objective when reviewing a game.

Also, there was a thread a day or two ago asking the TDF(Trion Defense Force) to go around to major sites and vote the game as a "10" to intentionally raise aggregate scores. Could possibly explain the 7.5 score.

But game reviews are the opposite of forums. A lot of happy people will go write about how the game is awesome on a reviewing website while a lot of unhappy people will come and be angry on forums. That's what I noticed ( some REALLY bad games will get a lot of hate on reviewing websites, but they need to be really bad )

I don't trust this 7.6 user score on metacritic... because I wouldn't give this game a 7,6. In my book, 7,6 is a, while not great, very solid game, I don't think Defiance is that yet. It might be later ( a few months/a year from now), but right now it's just average which would put it at 6-6,5. Close to the 56/100 of the professional reviews.

I generally tell people 'don't look at the score, read the review'. If you don't understand why they give a game that number, you won't know if you'd agree with them or not. People are different. Some will like some parts of Defiance, others will like other parts. Someone might like all the parts that are bugged and not working, so they feel disappointed with the game and aren't shy about saying so. Others will never even play those bugged parts and breeze through the game, loving life, and they often aren't shy about saying so either.

If you want to help people make up their minds about a game give an objective review, with opinions. Not an opinionated review.
