Its sad how many people now days dont understand that any MMO is never finished, content bugs especially balance! Look at WoW they cant balance classes after how many years so every major patch they just change the imbalance to another class. Let all the kids have a turn and all that crap.

Not really considering he is all over this forum and in every other thread. and its not that hard to see the little number by his name that says 2000+ posts. Most of his posts that I have seen were just like this one. Relaying the developers comments.

Well if he isn't on the payroll he should be.

2nd off. That was one of the most generic statements ever. They didn't address any specific error in the game. So that felt more like were trying to say something to make you feel better but with no real substance to relieve any real concerns at all.
Find me another letter, or several letters from the Lead Developer of a game for that matter, that ISN'T Simcity, apologizing for their mistakes and for ****ting in their users cheerios?

Yeah, it is a lot of time for a forum post. Saves time answering all those questions and having people say, "Where's it say that? Dev's never said that."

I've stated many times, i've got a lot of free time until the 23rd, then I'm up to my eyes in way too many classes as I'm trying to finish out my degree quickly and get all my A+ Certifications.

If I wanna spend my free time sorting through a Developer's Q&A to help answer peoples questions, of which a lot of people have the same questions, then that's how I want to spend MY time.

I did my 12 years in the military of GOGOGOGO do what we tell you to no questions asked. Now I spend my time going to school for something I love, and spending my free time how I want.

As far as on the payroll? I wish. 30+ hours a week in class, plus another 10-20 working projects, essays and studying for tests, I wish I had time to be on at least a part time payroll. No jobs in this area. So, here I sit, reading through forums, reading through my new school books on network security and ethical hacking, while playing a new MMO, and catching up on some TV that I missed last term.

Let me clarify and earlier statement. When I say unfinished I dont mean that the game is completed as far as it will go. Im not so foolish as to think an MMO is not constantly evolving. With that being said I call it unfinished because some very basic bugs, that have been reported since the alpha and the beta are still there and not a time frame in sight for when they will be dealt with. The content we currently have is also not what was promised we would have when we purchased the game. Now, I fully understand that is due to delays so they could get the other things working, but with that being said, as a consumer, thats not my problem. If your game was not ready for launch then you should not have launched it. I dont care what your time frames are, the game was not finished or ready for launch. But you sent it out anyway, thus I call it unfinished. Hope that clears up my stand point for you a little fornahn.

Where do you get your numbers? How in any way imaginable did you arrive at the conclusion that 25% of the entire players, can only play 50% of the time? That's some pretty large numbers right there.

No, which is why the theater would give you an apology and a refund or a free pass to a later showing. When you go to a theater, your expectation is to be able to see a movie from start to finish. When you play an online game, you do so knowing full well that at times it will not be available 100% of the time. You know this, as you have played many MMO games. Servers need to be reset, and patched, that cannot be done with the game running.

Anything in a restaurant that would require me to leave would likely be a serious threat to my health, so yes, but I wouldn't come back later, I'd get a to-go box.

No, but we didn't buy a car with no engine or transmission. We bought access to game which will receive new content on a regular basis, essentially, we bought a race car, and they will give us new tracks to drive on.

That happens, and they usually provide you with an apology and a connecting flight. Defiance hasn't said "there's nothing we can do" they are looking for the connecting flight.....

No sir, its not right and you shouldnt be ok with it either.
Who has said anything is impossible? Is it impossible to get a perfect launch? No, but it's pretty hard to do, so reasonable people expect bugs. Is it impossible to have 100% up time? No, but again, it's very difficult. Reasonable people expect this.

Your examples aren't very relevant to this game.
Your Challenger won't drive? You're probably in the passenger seat.
Can't sell/delete an item? Check all of your loadouts, it's likely still equipped.
Auction house? Why? It'll just render bits purchased lock boxes pointless, and weapons are mostly equal anyway.
Gear/enemy progression? No thanks, it'll only render 90% of the content trivial when you reach the highest zone.

And your point is??? I found him to be hard boss fight. just like a lot of other players. And to be honest that was the best part about this game in my opinion. I would rather struggle on the final boss than to walk right through it and get no satisfaction about beating him. But I guess everyone cant be like you and do it on your first try.

I relay the developers comments because people keep asking. *shrug* They wouldn't ask if they didn't want to know. Sorry, I'm a helpful nice guy with too much time on my hands at the moment. I'd rather do that, than get all snarky about someone's post count.

Not because of gamestop's trade in policy but because Trion was smart enough to make a no refund policy before defrauding everyone.

And it is fraud, as I explained in an earlier post. I dont care if its an MMO, it is a non-functional, partially finished product and in any other medium in the USA that is punishable by law.
Trion invented the no refunds on open software policy? I could have sworn I'd seen it, I don't know, on every piece of software, ever? Seems to be functional for a lot of other people.
