I've always trusted IGN for my game reviews before I buy, as this was the first game I bought for full price since CoD 1...

I was majorly disappointed.
I would NOT recommend this game in its current state.

IGN reviews are pointless dribble they seen to flip a coin when rating games only good going there to have a laugh about what they say about games and then read there re-reviews a year+ later and if they didnt like it before and the game was popular they have a complete change of heart

I know all about the back story...I read all the blogs and stuff on one of the websites from when they invaded in 2014 or whatever all the way through the 33 years...

I did not know this..... srsly i didn't lol if it isn't in the game i would have never found this out i shouldn't have to read a dam blog to get some back story..

This ^^^ should be the biggest clue. It was the same guy that reviewed that as well. Funny that he still has a job. Only thing that matters is I like the game and will continue to play. I'm so sick of playing carbon copies of other games every time I play a new game.
Oh, and OP is lonely and needs attention. I'm worried about him. I think maybe it's a call for help.

To put it simply he made 2 big mistakes:

1) Reviewed it as an RPG, expecting RPG features (like lots of character progression and getting way stronger), when its not an RPG. He claims in his review to know it is a shooter... yet complains it doesnt have vertical progression, which NO shooter does. Does he also review CoD, Halo, BF, etc and then complain he cant progress like he does in WoW?

2) Appears to have not even played all 3 versions, yet copied... sorry "wrote" the review for all 3 versions, then discredited 2 of the versions for having bugs which he admittedly has no idea if they even exist or not, as he never encountered them himself and just "what the hell. 1 version has this bug. Im just going to pretend all 3 do even though I have absolutely no evidence of it and did not even mention said bug anywhere in the review of the version i had the bug in""

IGN liked Rift and it's expansion. The Defiance review is well thought out and the reviewer streamed a lot of his playtime.

There are no excuses for this one sorry. Review is spot on.
