Been playing a bit more. I'm probably wrong but does it seems like enemies drop more weapons & shields after the patch or is it just me? Got a lot more whites & greens I'm not using, converted into Ark Salvages. If this is the case then I guess this may not seem so bad after all. Though having to go through Salvage Matrix a lot more frequently now is kind of annoying plus the sound that pop out again & again already start to grate. Wouldn't it be a lot better if Trion put all those info in a log instead, showing what item is being salvaged & for how many Ark Salvages each? Also a more intuitive menu system for doing this, perhaps?

Making Keycodes harder to get does make it seem as if Trion trying to shove in-game store closer to our face whether this is intentional or not or 'working as intended', who knows? If Lockboxes are not an option to buy from the store, this shouldn't be much of a debate.

I do think acquiring Keycodes used to be a bit too easy. Now I haven't been opening Lockboxes in quite a while which used to be quite an interesting gameplay or thrill element in itself. Not that I miss it all that much. More Ark Salvages now means I have choices either buying Keycodes or use them to upgrade my current weapons, but maybe we need a middle ground that we all could settle for.

how many oranges have i seen? 2. both launchers.

have i seen even ONE purple AR, sniper, or infector? no.

my luck makes me want to quit so badly.

whoever designed such a wretched rng system, then has the balls to nerf said system into the ground needs to be shot.. at this rate id spend less time in Ktera farming... >.>

Sadly, this is the problem with F2P and B2P mmos. No sub is nice until you see stuff like this. I felt no NEED to ever spend real life money on a locked box, even if it would have been faster. Now they're trying to force you into buying them, and I'm simply not going to do that. The reason I won't isn't that I'm cheap or poor, it's the fact that the rng is so bad, and the boxes cost so much (5 bucks for one t4 lock box? Really?) that could end up dropping 50 bucks and get nothing. Eff that.

I don't farm, I just play whatever I feel like doing, emergencies, occasional arkfall, side missions, main mission, basically whatever seems fun at the time to do, after 6 hours of having fun today I looked and saw I had amassed an amazing 0 keycodes in total. *sigh* F.U. farmers for ruining yet another game.

I've noticed nobody does emergencies, including myself. I did them before when there were keycode rewards some, and I think others did also. I think key fragment rewards need to be in them just maybe not as many as 4? 2 maybe

Immersion is a fine term to use, when you're discussing single player games, immersion is impossible to obtain in a multiplayer game where the metagame abounds, and I don't know what you've all been smoking, I still see many people doing emergencies, and have travelled with groups of 5+ people doing emergencies, so the keycode nerf did hardly anything, except of course, to the whiners and min-maxers.

I think they shouldn't have nerfed keycodes from emergencies. The loot that you get from lockboxes are usually not what you want anyway. In fact, you need many lockboxes and luck to get the items that you want. Plus, no auction house or trading system. I think the only reason they nerfed it was for the benefit of their cash shop. After all, what does it matter if everyone gets 1 or 3 keycodes from. It's still fair.

Honestly why do ppl always troll or as in this case jump to conclusions on others and call everyone out as a whiner or complainer when they just ask simple questions? Not everyone is like that budd.

And maybe the OP in this case finds it easier to be "immersed" into the game when theres actually other ppl to do things like emergencies with. I see what hes tryin to say. It really has nothing to do with him begging for keys back for emergencies. Cos hes not. He just wants ppl to do emergencies with. Ive noticed the drop in numbers of ppl on the map doi.g instances as well and it sort of takes away from the immersion that used to exist or should exist in this particular mmo. I still love this game to death, but I wish it was like it was in beta, or week1 even. There were actually mobs of ppl helping each other on the roadsides. Not anymore. Sometimes I dont even drive by another player for miles in game
+1 rational, well thought out and got the point of the OP. DWK's: please chill out. the original post was not making any judgement call, just asking for an overall opinion. i never understand how people think they are being helpful, respectful or even cool by posting responses that insult the OP's intellect, especially those that have made assumptions that weren't even implied to begin with as the excuse for their rudeness

You obviously don't because you still aren't getting it. He's not confusing anything, part of the immersion of this game is those social interactions and when they are gone you feel less like you are in a living, breathing world and more like a singleplayer ghost town. Less players running around, helping, interacting...less immersion. Get it?

Anyway, they had to do something about the Keycodes but complete removal was dumb. What they need to do is bring back the fragments and give one of those for each Emergency, so you'd still see people doing them but it would take quite a bit longer to horde a ton of keys.
