This is going to continue until the devs fix the resetting issue or they pick a more sensible requirement for the pursuit. It's pointless to even try fighting it.

Having a "kill 2500 mobs" pursuit, and a "don't kill the mob" objective is completely stupid.
I know I need to keep the little bug alive, but I need the pursuit, and they are easy to kill. I usually let them bit the crystal once, then kill them. Sometimes I'm lazy, and kill them on sight.
I feel bad for it, and I'm sorry. Really. It won't stop me from doing the pursuit however.
I don't see why people make a huge fuss about this anyway. There is plenty of time to destroy the crystal without skitterlings opening vulnerable spots.
Making a game mechanic that requires people NOT kill enemies that they are conditioned to kill in every other situation is the real root of the issue here. Make the vulnerabilities open randomly and this wont be a problem.
Thanks for the guide !
Now I know when *NOT* to stampede with my car.

little off topic but i wish arkfalls were instanced events with a max "xx" number of participants, these player zergfests are getting a tad dull.
You can blame two pursuits for this mostly: Living to Kill V and Ark Hunting as a Way of Life II/III.
Way of Life likes to reset...but even if it's fixed you got to kill a ton of Arkfall mobs to complete it.
Living to kill requires death blows so a car is the best legit one shot weapon in game.
So unless they fix one and change the requirements for the other: it's Dukes of Hazard time!
YEEE HAWWW!
I use my car to run over as many bugs as I like. just because two people are playing at the same game event doesnt mean their goals are the same. but ill tell you what ill stop running over the skitterlings if you can tell me how you plan to stop the use of clusering explosive weapons at arkfalls.
