So I beat the main mission and had a blast killing the boss. All the while during this endeavor, I had to stand up to the challenge and face the Dark Matter in combat. Fun opponents I will admit, but once you fight them enough times, you start to get the feeling they have become nothing more than another meat you can pummel into the ground. They're still a lot more fun over the other guys you have to fight.
Some of you will have also seen the first episode of the Defiance series. How'd you guys like it? I thought it was a great start and I look forward to future episodes to be released. What I'm really interested in are the Volge, an AI Votan race that has no regard for organic life (reminds me of the Reapers and zealous Geth on Mass Effect) with no information on the origin, but I think that's my fault because I have no idea where to find information.
Still, have you seen some of the soldiers those robots have? They have your generic human-shaped machines that are decent climbers and they also have larger machines more designed for siege warfare. And I'm certain as the show progresses, they'll reveal more Volge types that weren't in the attack force that attempted to destroy Defiance.
They look like a promising enemy to face in the game! What could be more fun than fighting an organized AI collective that's better put together than the scrappers? You think Trion will be implementing them sometime soon, and do you think they'll be the answer we need for a far more challenging opponent?
Also, do you think if they implement arkfalls for the Volge, the boss might be a grueling difficult robotic juggernaut that has a ton of minions? Okay, I'm a little ecstatic about them, but a man can hope.
