Will the Volge be challenging as enemies?

So I beat the main mission and had a blast killing the boss. All the while during this endeavor, I had to stand up to the challenge and face the Dark Matter in combat. Fun opponents I will admit, but once you fight them enough times, you start to get the feeling they have become nothing more than another meat you can pummel into the ground. They're still a lot more fun over the other guys you have to fight.

Some of you will have also seen the first episode of the Defiance series. How'd you guys like it? I thought it was a great start and I look forward to future episodes to be released. What I'm really interested in are the Volge, an AI Votan race that has no regard for organic life (reminds me of the Reapers and zealous Geth on Mass Effect) with no information on the origin, but I think that's my fault because I have no idea where to find information.

Still, have you seen some of the soldiers those robots have? They have your generic human-shaped machines that are decent climbers and they also have larger machines more designed for siege warfare. And I'm certain as the show progresses, they'll reveal more Volge types that weren't in the attack force that attempted to destroy Defiance.

They look like a promising enemy to face in the game! What could be more fun than fighting an organized AI collective that's better put together than the scrappers? You think Trion will be implementing them sometime soon, and do you think they'll be the answer we need for a far more challenging opponent?

Also, do you think if they implement arkfalls for the Volge, the boss might be a grueling difficult robotic juggernaut that has a ton of minions? Okay, I'm a little ecstatic about them, but a man can hope.

They're probably gonna be like the Tankers. Big slow nigh-invulnerable enemies except for their weak spot, which may or may not be obvious to spot.

I was thinking the same thing about the Volge. They seem to utilize swarm tactics, and as I've said in another post I absolutely love fighting things like that.

    Here's to hoping they're in a DLC.

My guess is they will be inline with other mobs.

They will most likely be added with new DLC, I wouldn't see why not. Trion already said they'd be adding in more races into the game.

What I would like to see from the Volge is their capability to traverse the landscape far easier when pursuing enemies. I want to see them scale ruined buildings to seek a defensive position on the top while launching devastating cold fire weaponry down on your head, I want more suppressing fire to keep me behind cover for fear of getting perforated.

they may be big, but if show is any indication they are scary fast.

My hunch is they'll be the Big Bad of 'Season Two' for us. It would be interesting if the plot had us teaming up with old enemies like Dark Matter to deal with them.

My guees is volges are a part of the first dlc if not all of it, seeing as it was supposed to release around the time first episode aired, the first episode which introduced a race not yet seen ingame in any form.

I think Season 2 of the game will be about von bach, and what/who ever is responsible for him getting "infected"
