What am I linking? I am linking to an actual guide that shows people hacks exist. It doesn't name them, it simply says why the hacks are there and gives a few examples of them.

I can't be promoting it because EVERYFRIGGINONE is already using them.

I am not raging at you man, I am just overly frustrated that my decked and specced out character is ****ing useless now because Trion decided to make everything client side.

I would not say everyone is using hacks cause it's not true. I'm someone who will never use any kind of hacks to play a game. If I cant play the game how it's meant to be played then I don't play.

If I see anyone hacking I'll do my part and report the player to Trion. Then I'll continue to play and enjoy playing Defiance.

Report hackers, or just be a better player. I ran into a known hacker in Shadow War playing a game of "snipe all the cloaked players coming to take a hold point with your 1 shot hack" and after the first time he shot me in the back as I was sneaking under him I approached him from behind and put 3 shotgun blasts in his freaking face. You act like hackers are all over the place or invulnerable. They are rare and human. They have to keep their eyes on their hacked radar and still get their sights set up to get their shots off before they get killed, which in PvP can be a feat since everybody dies so quickly anyway. I'll start complaining about hackers once the "every shot you fire instagibs the nearest enemy regardless of where you are aiming" hacks come out like I've seen in some MOTPSes and become commonplace. Until then hackers are annoying, but rare. Bugs are a much larger pain at the moment. I've been killed by my 10 shot pump action deciding 3 shells is a full reload more often than I've been killed by hackers.

How so? You know you can spot cloaked players when they move right? Spot them even faster if they run like the majority of these people do.

He's using the perk that allows you to cloak yourself...and see anyone else cloaked in the area.

You will continue to get owned unless you change your play style.

I never personally attacked anyone. Check out his original post and tell ask yourself how that's not *****in.

Perhaps the quit your *****in comment I made was too quick to assume that this was not indeed a hack/cheat. I still haven't read anything that makes me think it is...but still...I shouldn't have assumed.


Fact is if this is a bug that needs a fix it should be a ticket and on the proper forum, not in general discussion.


I also offered a potential solution regarding the EGO perk that was likely outting him/others. I'm sure someone will find that useful.

its not a bug when you put somethings client side that you OBVIOUSLY shouldn't put there... its bad development.

don't get me wrong i like defiance but i also know how these hacks work and i can tell you there was very little to no effort made in trying to stop this before it even started. trion dropped the ball on this one.
