bump.
Seriously though, I completely understand. I like it, not love it. Coming down from beating Bioshock Infinite I guess that's expected, but still, when you put an MMO on a console, there's bound to be problems.
It's still in its first month of release, so you might consider this an "open-beta." Give it a year or so, by the time season 2 comes out it'll be a lot more polished.
Also, that's what you get for buying before renting.
All forums for games are bad. If I could, I would be at home playing.
I understand your point but gaming companies have to be able to please 100% new customers as well as seasoned customers to MMO's. Every seasoned player started out as a noob.
I understand the multi-platform disadvantage, but those are server issues not in game content issues, and nerfs that make the game less fun for people. Most of the complaints on the forums have not been about servers. Even the first week the majority of the community were very understanding of this.

Separately, it's long been known that an MMO has failed when there are NO more complaints. Not because everyone is happy, but there's no one left to be unhappy.
This ^^ x10
You don't understand forums very well little guy. I understand. You will almost always see this much negative posts on forums, ESPECIALLY when a game launches. And most of your opinions in most of the posts I've read of yours are pretty negative. Don't play, go away, ty for donating the money though for my game.
I wish I had known the beta was a good 70% of the full game.
Defiance in my eyes has potential, but for now, it seems once you have beaten the tutorial you have seen everything there is to offer. Ark falls were fun the first couple of times, now they are tedious with little to no rewards. It doesn't even challenge you to think during any mission except Nim.
People keep telling me, "ERMMERGERD, IT'S NOT AN MMORPG IT'S AN MMOTPS!!!"
MMO = Massive MULTIPLAYER Online". Nothing about this game is MMO, it could have been made into a 4 player COOP and I wouldn't know the difference. There's no reason to communicate, coordinate, participate with anyone other than your current Xbox Live buddies.
I had fun for the first 2 days, then it dawned on me... Side missions are all the same thing, no variety. The change of scenery does little to provide any sort of change to playstyles. You can literally complete most side missions without ever leaving your vehicle. Or, if you so choose, in most you can run in, grab the objective, and be gone before even having to fight.
The most fun missions were the defend X for Y time. At lease those required a little forward planning and some skill.
The ego system does about as much to change gameplay as picking red or black in checkers...
I wanted so badly for this game to be great, It fell flat for me...
Flame away, tell me it's my fault the game lasted several days, I know I didn't complete all the side missions, or time trials, or challenges. They were not fun to me, they were copy and paste missions meant to try and trick me into thinking the game is bigger than it truly is.
People tell me "All MMOs have the same style of missions lololololololololololololol." True, WoW has a lot of go here, get this this, kill that. I did those quests because they offered a decent reward, they granted exp to help me progress my characters. Also, each mission was usually in a fresh new location, so visiting each was aesthetically pleasing. I could pick up 3-4 quests, go to one area, do them all. The dungeons were different, required TEAMWORK, execution, and beyond that, were actually different from one to the other.
I played a coop dungeon in Defiance, I had 1 teammate go AFK, 1 teammate literally ran as fast as he could towards the end (cloaked past a good 75% of enemies). So more or less I completed a 4 man dungeon with me and my buddy, and didn't even struggle.
The end boss was interesting, but ultimately it was entirely too easy, even after my rocket launching teammate destroyed all the cover.
I don't care what you say, an MMO that does not require any sort of teamwork is not an MMO, it's a glorified singleplayer game with intelligent NPCs that sometimes help and usually hinder (think cars during crystal ark falls).
The progression system? Call of Duty has a better progression system, nuff said.
PvP? Not going to hold anyone, older games have done it better. This PvP cant come close to anything, especially not CoD, BF, Halo, Gears. Hell it cant even touch Rainbow Six Vegas...
End Game? None
Incentives? None
COOP? 4 Player, and it is not needed. Hell, there's even main story "dungeon" missions that force you to solo and break up your group.
So beyond the initial "new game" feeling, what exactly is there to keep me motivated? Why would I sink 300+ hours into this game? To raise my ego rating for another 1% boost to something?
Potential - This game has it. But so do many other games, if I based my feelings on what could or should have been, then every game I've played in the last ten years was a potential 10/10.
I am happy some of you people found ways to make your own fun with this game. Bravo. For me, it feels like a sandbox, but someone forgot to fill it up with sand...
