This is how you can tell Defiance is a bad Game!

I understand the multi-platform disadvantage, but those are server issues not in game content issues, and nerfs that make the game less fun for people. Most of the complaints on the forums have not been about servers. Even the first week the majority of the community were very understanding of this.

Very much this, not once have I complained about bugs or server issues yet every time people rush to the games defense they site other mmo's releasing full of bugs and server downtime. Honestly, this was a pretty smooth launch in comparison to a lot of other games, but I think that's in part because of the minimal amount of stuff to go wrong with the game.

I am enjoying the game, my only issue is my guns seem to do very little damage to the cyborgs and bugs, while the ones who shoot rockets or grenades at you can kill me behind walls. But that doesn't mean game is bad just means I am. I also die about 10-15 times per mission while trying to just rush at those rocket throwing cyborgs hoping that I can kill one between deaths.

I agree 100%! I understand that some people like this game, but you got to let Trion know what you think are the bad issues as well as the good. This game is not perfect by any means, and some people just don't want to admit it. But its true!

And when you quote Gohlar who says things like "worst missions ever" which is not only an exaggeration but ridiculous on it's face, your credibility goes down the crapper.

This is how I know defiance has alot of potential, people care enough to come on the forums and whine for hours at a time.

I don't complain about games I hate. I couldn't be convinced to bother.

The game needs a generous helping of story/mission content alongside all the side mission stuff. There are also bugs that they're working on sorting.

In it's favor though and most important to any game - the core actions in the game are fun. The combat and the driving around and the arkfalls are all enjoyable and so you can build on top of that. It's just far more involving than your typical hotbar based game and that's why despite it's immediate flaws there's a lot of hope.

Compare it to other games, SWTOR or even WoW. The combat which you spend most of your time doing is just a chore, it's just pressing of buttons in sequence to kill another set of mobs and get points to buy another skill to do the same thing to the next level of mobs. While the side missions are still rather formulaic in this game, each one has the requirement that you actually think while playing or you end up crawling on the floor.
I don't think I've found the core gameplay in any MMO this much fun since NeoCron or Jumpgate, way back in the day...

No. People who are loving the game are playing it. People who want to complain come straight to the forum. It is not a sign of anything. Every single game forum out there is filled with complaint threads, it doesn't mean anything.

I understand your point but gaming companies have to be able to please 100% new customers as well as seasoned customers to MMO's. Every seasoned player started out as a noob.

Constructive feedback and suggestions are going to help fixing the game, screaming abuse or repeating 100 times "Trion this is FAIL", not so much.

Not really. If I took what every whiner in this country had for granted, I'd have committed suicide a long time ago realizing there was absolutely nothing to live for.

It's usually the whiners/complainers who ruin games, so the fact that there are so many whiners, and Trion isn't doing much about them is awesome for me!

Every game forum has completely legitimate complaints. Usually drowned out by mindless ranting about other things.
