I've been hiding because I was playing the new zombie map. We just wanted to play 2 player and go for high rounds. and so far its one of the best since moon. I really like it! But i mastered it in 2 days and bohdi and i had to kill ourselves after 9 hours. I recommend that dlc.

Hit me up when you see me online. I still am going to play defiance with friends. I just cant find myself playing this game for hours on end anymore. Hey at least Dead island coming out next week!

Pretty much every mmo forum is a major arkfall of negativity.

Here's an mmo forum in short:
1. Copious ammounts of threads about "There's no progresion in this game, a orange weapon isn't any better than a green!!1!"
2. Trion adds real progression to weapons, orange weapons do more dmg, reloads faster, has higher RoF etc.
3. Copious ammounts of threads about "I'm getting steamrolled by high ego players with orange weapons, this must change now!!1 It's P2W!
4. Repeat until the servers shuts down in a couple of years.

i have not been playing mmos very long only about 15 years so not sure if my opinion counts but ill just give it anyway... i have played acouple mmos in there first 6 mounths and i have to say this is one of the least painfull by far and given the fact that its on three platforms blows my mind these devs are basicly making 3 games at once. i think we as players can just calm down abit and relax. just my 2 cents

I know there are people out there that do enjoy this game, but there are a lot of people out there that are very upset with this game, and not just server issues.

Almost everything about the game from, lock boxes not dropping anything good,

They still drop anything up to orange rarity (the highest in the game).

weapon nerfs, car nerfs,

Balance changes are a requirement. They are a good thing.

removing keycodes from events, (which makes getting those bad lockboxes even harder to get!)

Lets be fair, they were stupidly easy to get before...

Not being able to phase correctly with other group members.

This is annoying, no doubt there. It's usually fixable (at least in a duo one of the two can usually change phase correctly) but obviously shouldn;t happen in the first place.

Limiting the groups to only 4 players.

Bigger would be better I guess, but it's not as if you have to be in the group to work together.

I agree here too, the chat system needs a complete overhaul, right now it's still using the primitive console UI which I hope will be updated (on the PC at least).

It is almost ridiculous to be able to use synergy mods!!!

Yup, but no sub and not a single content patch released yet - if this bothers you then stop playing and check back later.

and the quality of content was bad for 95% of the side missions in the game! They didn't even feel like missions they felt like tasks or busy work.

Drive to point A, press X, drive to point B, put in mailbox! You really consider this a mission!

What were you expecting? You just described essentially every mission / quest in every game. "go somewhere, use / kill / collect something, interact with someone, go somewhere else". It would be nice if the side missions had a bit more subtance in the way of cutscenes and voice acting - so they were more like main missions.

Seriously Trion, you really want people to spend real money on lock boxes after they seen what they get from them with getting keycards? Its almost Stealing from your customers; that's how bad the drops are!!!

They can get orange items, I have a few and all came from tier 3 lockboxes.

Just look through the forums there is even more than what I listed here all over this forum!

As there is in any MMO forum. People whining about everything, people insisting that without a gear grind the game will die, that unless PS3 and 360 can play together the game will die, insisting that everyone who kills them is a hacker (after all, the poster will proudly tell us they they are leet FPS players and can spot them in a moment), etc.

And there has't been any public response from Trion in this forum! To address the overwhelming concerns that the players are having! These players are the ones that are going to promote this game or not! People like playing with there friends, but if the game sucks they won't recommend it, or stop recommending this game! (As in the case of Defiance)

Most of what is said in almost any community forum is not responded to by the devs. It's a community forum, not a support channel. More communication is almost always a plus though.

Most of the critics out there gave this game a bad review! And if you dont think they look at the forums to see what the players of the game are feeling before they write reviews, your out of your mind!

Oh, I need someone to make all my decisions for me. Those critics share my exact preferences and tastes and are looking for exactly the same things I am. And they are soooo impartial and the scores they give always match how successful a game is!

A great game really doesn't have such a mixed opinion about it! Yes, you will always have the haters, but you will the majority praising the game, not the other way around!

Depends what people were looking for. Too many people saw "MMO" and thought "Duuuuh.... that must make it a WoW clone! I buy nao!!", only to spend most of their time whining that they can;t get a +15 SMG of furious smiting which 1 hit kills lowbies. Actually look through the complaints sometime and see how many are due to the player having no idea what they were buying, instead just throwing their money at the screen and then insisting that the game was made wrong rather than them impulse buying a game they knew nothing about.

I know that this thread will get locked because almost every thread gets locked that talks slightly negetive about this game. I was respectful in this post. I did not swear or belittle the DEV's! I am just a concerned citizen, and I want to be proved wrong about this game and post! I loved this game at first, but now its getting old fast.

Utterly false, you have spent 90% of the OP telling us how many threads there are complaining, now you claim they all get closed? Why isn't the forum almost entirely closed?

To the op you know I have played alot of mmo's and even ones that so called failed like GW2, Rift, SWTOR, DCUO, DDO, LOTRO, AoC, TSW, and many more but you know what all those games are still around and going strong with alot of players in them. 90% of all the complaints are people just mad the game is not to there liking or made to there ideal game and thats not the companies fault its mostly the players for not researching a game before buying it or playing it. Most of the games I listed above I dont play anymore except one and thats because I dont like grinding gear and I dont have to do that here or the other game I play, I play because they are fun to me.

Now as for the bugs I have to agree with most posters that others say are deffending the game that all mmo's even Rift had problems at launch and if you all think thats gonna hurt the game no its not it gets better with time as for the chat issue I dont have a problem with it I use it alot at Arkfalls and in co-op maps I use viop but its not there viop because I never use a ingame viop I use TS3, Vent, Mumble, GSC, or Raidcall because they work with little to no problems and I let my guildies or clan members know which one we use with what ever game we are playing mostly we use Raidcall cause we like the sound on it its clear.

As for all the other bugs yeah I have a few that bug me but I dont let it stop me from playing a game in fact most of the time I report it everytime it happens through the ingame bug report I come to the forums to see if theres any news on stuff I rarely read other posts but at time I do like this and I see more complaining on forums then anything else these days and this is in all game forums and mmo sites I go to if you dont beleave me go read Massively or MMORPG or any of the others thats all most are are is complaining nothing hardly good but bad.

Now as for reviews I quit reading review sites along time ago because its just that that one persons opinion just like META is just peoples opinion and to me 90% of them that give bad reviews are just tlike I explained above people who dont like that a game is exactly what they want in a mmo or game so the freakout and post tons of bad on a game that is not to there liking. There are also tons of people posting here in the suggestion section asking for this or that that is what I do alot of in most game and hardly does a company put my ideas to use but I keep posting my ideas and suggestions cause thats where I feel companys would do good from.
