Games with flat progression systems don't get traditional endgames. Before you hold your breath to wait, I suggest finding a comfortable chair.
It would take substantial reassessment of the Developer Vision to change it. God forbid putting in good rewards somewhere with a more challenging fight alienated casual and new adopters etc.

What exactly would 'end game' be in a system without levels, where a brand new character can use all the same gear as a years old character?
Sorry little guy, you missed the point as usual. If I find pvp to be fun, it's not a waste of time. I'm not playing it for the "carrot on a stick" that you are looking for. I play it because I enjoy the hell out of it. If you don't play it just because you don't have something to chase, again, this game isn't for you. If you haven't noticed, this will never be a min/max game like the games you're used to playing. Which is the main reason I like it.

Personally, my EGO is over 850. I've beaten the game and just over 30 of the pursuits. By the end of week I expect to be at 44. Yeah, pvp sucks. So do the buggy co-op missions. I can't find any good weapons or mods, but like they said, the game just came out.
MMO's are a different class of game. Based on your previous comment, I'm guessing you never encountered one before. Let me break it down into tiny pieces for you. Ready?
Shut. The. Hell. UP.
MMO's are a constantly evolving game. Launch for one of these is fraught with problems. Often it can take several weeks or even months to get the game bugs and glitches 100% gone (depending on the size of the dev team.)
While they're getting all that worked out, players will have beaten their game three times over on multiple characters, which is why they roll out a new patch every other week.
In a few months they'll prolly move beyond just a few pursuits, but at least it gives you something to do.
To rephrase, MMO's are NOT a boxed game you buy at the store like Fallout, or Forza. They constantly build and evolve upon themselves. Three weeks after launch? Of course the game has problems. I give them credit for fixing so many bugs in that last patch.
Did those small bites taste good? Now go back and play your Fallout and Forza (I think they're beginning to wonder if you're cheating on them), we certainly won't miss you.
Go play something else until there's more 'endgame' content? Like you said, it's only been out 3 weeks, none of the DLC have rolled out, the show just started.
When I feel like taking on big bosses with over powered guns I throw in some Borderlands 2. When I feel like roaming a big map doing quests I load in Defiance.
I've never played such a short mmo at release. Defiance has none of the grind that adds artificial life to most mmos. I'm in awe that people can be really shocked there are a lot of unhappy buyers.

He has a point though guys, as do plenty of others. And those of you saying "This isn't every other MMO" or "This game is too new for you to be at Endgame." Those arguments make no sense.
In today's day and age, MMO has certain implications. You expect an endgame experience that kicks your ***. You expect fun loot to be found as you level up higher. You expect a longevity to a game that makes you want to keep playing.
To say that someone shouldn't of rushed through the middle parts of the game is ridiculous. That's like telling someone they can't do this or don't do that in a game. It's my game, I'll play how I want. It's not his, or any other players, fault that Trion just dropped the ball on endgame content.
I am a player that enjoys the random middle ground stuff, so I've enjoyed this game greatly so far, mainly because I'm tooling around. Not everyone is that way. PLENTY of my friends want to do the end game stuff. The big dungeons, raids, massive lootz, etc etc. This game has none of that. I'm just at 500 ego... and still using a lvl 132 blue shotgun I got. That's disappointing to me. I've had to cycle through 6 SAWs because my damn skills won't progress after my level maxes, which makes no sense.
Stop fanboying and player bashing, and start holding Trion accountable for the ridiculousness. I'm not saying it's a bad game. I'm not saying it's a good game either. It is fun. But it needs a lot of work. Work you can't blame the player for. Work you can't be mad at someone for being mad about.
