I have to agree with the OP. This game is fun to play but it is lacking any purpose and sense of achievement! If I wanted to play a well rounded and balanced shooter I would play BF3. I used to play WoW and know what the OP is saying regarding finally getting that epic drop from a boss! I wish that there was more reward for the time and effort you put in!

I also can't help but feel like I'm just playing a single player game as well! Where are all the quests that can only be done in groups?? Where are all the "looking for group" shouts from people needing help? It's not there because you just don't need anyone but yourself!! That seems to defeat the object of an MMO! I know it's not WoW but it could do with being a bit more like it!

    EDIT:
I also hate the fact that you can have all 4 ego powers! It takes any kind specialised gameplay from the game! We should have to make a choice for 1 of them then have quests that rely on different people with different powers. Can you see what I mean?

The fact that we can just be everything in one character kinda takes that sense of a role out of the game

Just quit then guys/gals. Loot Tables wont make the game better. If you feel this way now, would you feel any better with more powerful weapons? No, you would just get bored faster because you know what the creature is going to drop. You are already bored with the content so weapons and/or armor isnt going to change anything, despite what you may reply with. See you later!

well it only took 2 pages for someone to tell everyone to quit playing.

People like you want the population to grow then turn around and tell every to quit if they dont except the game for what it is.

The OP is right with the loot situation. There is no real reason to grind if there is nothing to grind for, increase level of ego does nothing really. I have bought over a hundred lock boxes and havnt gotten anything I actually use out of them, over 400 items and I have used 1, really... WTF. I have been using the same white and blue weapons for over 400 ego which is pretty bad for the time invested. I was playing this pretty steadily but now dont really see a reason to, I dont get anything from arkfalls, raids, pvp, scrub mobs, etc...except xp which seems useless. I have the collectors edition so I do support the game(ie,..Im not hating). I try to do the pursuits for completionist stuff but they are broken or unavailable to play, the races have such bad pop in that it is impossible to complete without memorizing where things are going to pop up on the track. I can live with the race issues(boring anyway), but the fact that there is no real reason to grind after the last mission is a little concerning considering this is an MMO and like stated above that is the reason to keep playing, The Loot.

Maybe if the bosses actually dropped loot when you killed them i would enter them much more frequently.
Im stuck in a loop since i completed the main storyline and dont know what to do now, at least in other mmo's i could work on gearing up my toon but cant do diddly squat in this.

It might sound like im bashing this game, im not but it's frustrating the hell out of me that after investing all the hours i have so far into this game and i dont feel anymore powerful than when i started.
You are stuck in a bad mindstate. Once you realize this you might change. I have seen this problem before and it is very hard to break.
You see in this game the carrot is Keycodes and Experience... You are stuck in the mentality of carrots being gear. This isn't that game.

Keycodes allow you to buy lockboxes, which give you gear. Gear that is no better, I might add.

Experience raises your EGO, which does nothing otherr than earn you a perk every blue moon. Trying to say that the game isn't boring after a very short while is just a lie at this point.

If it isn't this game can you explain to me what is going to keep the masses entertained for the foreseeable future? The whole point and what keeps the players entertained in an mmo is the loot, the carrot on the stick, whatever you want to call it. Without anything to keep your character progressing and improving what is the point in investing time into it? This should have just being a single player game from the get go if that's the case.

Get bored faster? How? The goal of mmo's is improve your character with the "best" gear, if bosses in Co-ops had loot tables i would have no problems doing them. The way things are now there is absolutley no reason to do anything, even grinding for faction gear is pointless because all weapons are the exact same. See where im going with this?

Lol getting a weapon at the end of a co-op won't make a difference if you don't like the game.

Actually that isn't the point of MMOs that is just something some of those MMOs happen to have. You just dont understand the game. Have you even gotten 5000 Ego yet?
