Are there any weapons in this game, such as some type of legendary or something, that don't require experience? I'm getting tired of swapping greens to quest and then switch back to my maxed gun for bosses and pvp.

I'm a dude who does things online and I play every MMO I can get my hands on. I also create Ave Molech.
Well, Mass Cannons are currently bugged so that no matter how much you use them, you never get exp for them. But I think it's balanced out by them being the most powerful rocket launchers with adequate skill to manually detonate them. Otherwise, exp on a weapon is nothing more than a cap on how much skill exp you can get on a particular weapon. The only thing you get out of a maxed weapon is a small buff to it. So unless you like a particular weapon or don't care about skill levels, you should just do whatever you want with them.
Personally I go through Assault rifles like candy, but I'm still on the look out for a nice one that's worth keeping hold of, and once I hit max skill level I can use to my hearts content.
