This is Not a Bragging Thread
I did a third run-through of the game to make vids of the Nim fight for yal, to show yal how easy it is. And if I am saying Nim is EASY to beat, and I feel that Nim is EASY, then why would I brag about something I feel is EASY? Sigh, come on people. Anyways, vids show that Nim is nothing worth bragging over and that anyone can beat him.

Beating Nim with No Perks, No EGO Power, and No Aim Assist

    Video Added: 5/9/2013
There is also another video of someone on PC who actually has a good recording device who made a video as well, I didn't watch the video, but I'ma just take their word for it based on the title of their video.

Original Post: So... I see everyone saying he is too hard, needs to be weakened, etc. see many guides about how to beat him, etc.
I beat him on Day 2 or 3, I died once on his first form, and then didn't die again. I'm sorry, but I just don't see how anyone can say Nim is too hard, to be completely honest, he needs to be tougher, he is THE BOSS OF THE GAME (for now at least), and a weak one at that.
And no, this is not a troll thread, I'm just tired of hearing people complain about the difficulty of bosses (not only in this game, but all games) when they aren't even difficult, and then games go out and make simple boss fights to cater to all you cry babies. If you can't beat him, deal with it, get better until you can, and if you never can, then oh well, your loss. Your not going to go to college, fail a test, and then say, "Hey this test was too hard, give me a third grade test please." and be handed an easier test. You will be laughed at, just like you are being laughed at now.
Gaming Community = Ruined with gaming becoming popular and attracting so many casual gamers who shouldn't even be considered gamers.

Edit: Just finished my second playthrough of the game, casually walked around for most of the Nim fight and didn't die, even toyed with him and ran around chasing him down meleeing him at some points just for laughs, that fight was so tough, let me tell you...

Since someone asked, I don't remember my perks from the first fight, just know I had Overcharge and a VOT Blast Rifle.
    The second fight I had...
Power: Overcharge (didn't use it just for the soul purpose of seeing how difficult he was)
Perks: Self-Medicated (never got downed, so was pointles), Thick Skinned, Rear Guard, Cellular Armor, Fortitude, Regeneration, and Escape Artist
    Weapon: VOT Tachmag Pulser
Shield: Respark Regenerator III DX (has +50% HP Regeneration, and I can't see using any other type of shield than a Respark in any situation)
Stretegy: Casually walk around shooting him, then when he runs chase him down and melee him a few times, maybe t-bag him a couple times while you're at it, and then he's dead.

Also check out www.ktamradio.com, seems pretty cool.

Yeah, I just got to the last mission today, beat Nim on the first try without changing without my loadout and perk setup. I was expecting a fun, moderately difficult fight, but this was a snoozefest. Back in the day if you could not beat a boss or stage of a game you practiced and got better, but these days people just want stuff handed to them and then complain that it is not enough. Shameful.

Everyone has different skills, capability and experience. I might find a guitar phrase a piece of cake but you might not be able to even come close. 30 years of playing makes a big difference. Same is true of gaming. Many of us have limited experience in the shooter genre but a great deal of experience in MMORPG games. The skills of one don't transfer well to the other. Because Nim was easy for you doesn't make him easy for everyone. While I did eventually beat him, it was damned hard.

Nim was hard but in all the bosses gamers have faced, nim was a 1st stage pawn. Crawmerax from borderlands was tons harder. For wkc fans, Madoras would have crushed nim. All in all, this games hardest challenge is keeping the ps3s cpu from not overheating and getting that ps3 freeze. I so want the ps4 cloud server to play Defiance already (X

    Hope they patch everything quickly.

If I wanted to play the guitar song I would learn how to, I wouldn't ask to have the song made easier... And skills in a shooter? The skills required to play this game are extremely low.

While the OP has a rather "In your face" way of saying it, I do agree this boss isn't nearly as hard as people are making him out to be.

I don't think it needs to be toned down at all, if you just pay attention to what is going on around you. You can quickly figure out how to avoid most if not all the dmg during this fight. If any of you come from the Mega Man days then this boss fight was just another walk in the park.

If you don't understand what I mean by "If you played Mega Man" then I suggest you watch this hilarious video that explain exactly how I feel about the gaming industry today. (BTW I think the OP would love this video)

Another thing - why do people insist on playing games if they are not good at them and their inability frustrates/makes them unable to enjoy the game properly? There are games that cater to casual gamers (not that Defiance is hardcore), but obviously different genres of games cater to different people. I am not good at racing games (example), therefore I do not play them, but I do not force them to change it to make them enjoyable/easy for me. The people trying to play the game not intended for them will bring down the overall enjoyment of the intended audience.

This is a universal issue with humanity that goes WAY beyond gaming.

well maybe you had a lot of good guns and the right set up. look at me when I fought Nim. I had a sniper and a pistol at ego rating of 259. I thought that the sniper was a good idea for the dark matter troops, and it was working, but with Nim I may as well have been tossing teddy bears at him. What kind of stuff did you use against Nim may I ask?
Some people say "winning isn't everything." I say "Then why are you here?"

This is a MMO as well and seeing that this is also a solo mission it means they have to cater to everyone and not just the leet COD kiddies. I found Nim very difficult at best and I have played MMO's for the past 14 years. I am not a huge fan of shooter games.

If Nim was harder to beat then those who are not use to shooter games would never get past him, stop being selfish and think of those who do not play a lot of shooter games.
