does anyone else consistently feel underpowered?

    Does anyone feel the same?

What I mean by this is that now I'm currently level 750+ with majority of purple gear but no matter where on the map I don't feel a significant difference in my character level. I still feel just as powerful as when I started.

For example I want to have the feeling of overpower when I divert back to the original crash site, but I just don't feel much difference.

    Is this just me or?

Ok... time to put it out there...

This is not a rpg or loot-based shooter. Gear doesn't make you more powerful just more efficient.
This is a skill-based game so if you feel underpowered, its your fault. Pick your build better and aim better.

Not looking to be unnecessarily harsh or troll but I felt this had to be said.

yeah its a shooter so gear and weapons have to be as balanced as they can for PvP.

I feel just like in Lost Planet: it's not what you use, it's how you use it.

    Game was amazing...was? Is!
Defiance is a shooter first, MMO second. The MMO aspect of the game is just playing in a evolving world with your friends. That being said, you have the ability to be with your friends even if you are ego 3000 and they are ego 15. This is what a real community is and abolishes the elitists who ruin them.

Whenever I want to feel overpowered, I just hop in my Challenger and run things over.

Well that's strange because if I decided to play any other mmo and get high level then divert back to original area I would own.

Also by your statement then what's the point in upgrading gear?? May as well keep my original shooter.

If there is no progression in power why bother hunting for higher grade guns?

Yeh granted you have additional spec on higher grade guns but no dramatic difference when fighting mobs. They all still seem to die in same amount of shots.

Or maybe this is just me.
