If bots were used one would think they hit 5000 during the first week tbh.
250 ego per day is completly do-able, as such 5k after 20 days is not at all unthinkable, if I didnt make a new char I would likely be close myself.

Im well aware it ramps up, but unlike most people i've devoted alot of time toward completing all combat pursuits etc on both chars one of, which really isnt effective for ego lvling. and while it ramps up, Its really nothing amazing.
from what I can tell xp goes up by less then 1k per ego lvl
At best you can do mine 99 around the half min, which means you would be earning around 720 000 xp per hour, the most I see it rising to at 200-260 ego lvl would be in the 2hundreds, though I suspect it wont go much higher then 150 000, in which case you could easily grind out 2-4 lvls per hour.
But what are these people doing after they finish all the pursuits, etc. After completing the game, finishing all pursuits and a lot of daily and weekly challenges, I am just about 2000. And that's playing everyday for hours and hours. I also see you mention mine 99 but even after that its still a grind. I really cant see how there are players almost at 5000 without being dishonest about it. Sorry but its my opinion.
We are talking about mine 99 as in the outdoors mission not the co-op dungeons, and yes its very much a grind, If however you belive there arnt players out there willing to devote 10+ hours a day to grind this you'd be incorrect, Id go so far as to say eq grew a whole generation of grinders.
Many of which actually enjoy the grind.
However based on these reactions, I can see why no one is coming forward as being close to 5k.
Ok, as impressive as that is, I've gotta say; I'm not too sure how healthy it is to be playing as much as would be necessary to hit that mark in such short time lol. Seriously. I know how many hours I've put in to be at 1000. So extrapolating that out, there's no doubt that sunlight likely hasn't been witnessed by them since the game came out. At the very least, they should be ordered to take some vitamin D pills hehehe.
Some people have no life sadly.... lol
People with a higher ego rating them me have no life and likely cheat or exploit.
People with a lower ego rating then me are noobs who need to LTP.
I, of course, am a perfect balance of playing and having a life and everyone should strive to be more like me.
(I think that sums up a decent chunk of the posts I've read in this thread.)
