Achievement Unlocked! EGO Rating 5000!

I have about 70 pursuits done, about a total of 20-25 daily and weekly challenges (Because they don't reset fast enough) I have done every side mission, including 4 or 5 top three finishes in the time trials (Legit). and Just started my second playthrough doing the main storyline missions. I just don't see the 5000 ego rating.
Actually, I would be hard pressed to even believe 3000 ego at this point.
But like Prelude said, even if we finish all the pursuits it may only give us another 200 ego points at most. So 5000? I highly doubt it!!!
I think Trion should start a thread saying, "Thanks to all of the defiance players who have stuck by us through all of our trials and mistakes"!! And congratulations who have made ego 2000 and played the game legit.
Its terrible they congratulate hackers, cheaters, etc. Its damn crazy!!!!

5k is a lot of pursuits, not just grinding and you'd have to somehow magically can complete your capture & hold matches for the PvP stuff.
The leveling process isn't that slow and quite enjoyable anyway, some very special weapons are pretty aweful, but apart from that ... it's just before dedicating more money and/or time to the game I'd like to see how they handle the bugs and mechanic issues.
I sure hope not their plan for monday is not to release any patch.

Rethinking it ... I'm in the quarry (aka Mine 99) already.

Everyone keeps bring up mine 99 but think about this for a moment. At ego 1700 I need about 80000 exp to level up and when you do you get only 20 ego points right?
So at 5000xp per shot you need to do mine 99 16 times just for 20 ego points. So for 200 ego points that's 320 times and then an extra 2000 ego points you would need to do mine 99 a whopping 3200 times. And that would only bring me to 3700. So yes I truly believe 5000 ego is just absoulutly crazy. LEGIT anyway. And legit is the key word.
For those that have reached 3000 or even 2500 I take my hat off to you. Even that is so so much grinding.
I just don't think even the hardest of grinders are gonna do mine 99 6000 times.
So with that being said you can agree or not agree. I just think they definatly cheated for the 5000. And to top it off trion congratulates them??? WOW!!!! That's all I can say.
If Trion had any type of thanks to the people that play this they would have sent out a congrates to those that reached 2000. Especially after putting up with all the downtime, etc.

I've checked out the Mine99 grinding to see what it was all about, and yes it gives you 4k XP per run, which takes anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute (at some point you'll have to clear some AI enemies you keep rushing through) and each level is about 80k at this stage, so I'd have to do this 20 times to rank up.

I've done it once (the 20 times) and was so sick and tired of it already that I logged out, so whoever did this day in/day out, to get to EGO 5000 is inhuman, as simple as that.

WOOT, a thread to celebrate the Exploiters and Hackers, this is awesome. Now maybe Trion should look at how they did and fix the exploits the Alpha and Beat testers used to get there so fast.....

same here.10-12 hours a day since release. got tons of pursuits that keeps resetting for me so i had to grind my *** off.

But I agree with you close to 5k Ego is impossible without exploiting.

there seem to be some disconnects between the show and the game so far - there has been 0 mention in the show of dark matter (something which is a main theme in the game)

and there has been 0 mention of the vulge/volj in the game (something that was prominently displayed in the first episode of the tv show)

and oddly the only hellbugs that were shown in the tv show so far look NOTHING like hellbugs from the game .........

You mean like Nolan mentioning the Libera Nova Gem and Irisa mentioning Varus? Or the mentions of 99er's or when Ben says he has a meeting with Ara Shondu?
