Well I do believe there is two types of currency - credits of some kind and Arktech, which is probably a very prized thing.
it could be in game currency and real money currency
i think the ark tech is a currency that is only obtainable though well... arkfalls but if your lazy or cant stay on long enough to reach the arkfalls you can pay real money to get it and the regular money is a less valuable currency that you can obtain though everyday stuff (killing,raiding,doing quests,etc) maybe you could pay money to get these too but idk bout that
Forgive me if this has been confirmed, but I was on mmorpg.com and they showed Defiance as being subscription based. Are they guessing? I really don't mind how they set up the pay structure, i'm all in.

if its subscription based then they would lose all their Xbox gamers and probably 1/2 of ps3 gamers so it would not be in their best interest to do so
