Not really understanding why people don't like Tier 4 lockboxes?

I bought 5 today and got 3 Oranges, 2 weapons, and a shield. The shield has 70% recharge a second, and I got a sawed off (not great) and a Ground pounder that recharges 25% of stowed weapon on a kill

Mainly because you can get 2-3 T3 boxes for about the same price, and will get more gear from them. There is a thread on here somewhere that shows the (theoretical) math behind why the t3 boxes are the best value and odds of getting oranges.

I have the worst luck with lock boxes. I get white, and gold, and thats it. nothing higher, and no oranges....what am I doing wrong??

Because when I buy them, I get greens and blues, which feels like a huge waste of keys.

This. I've bought 2 T4 Lock Boxes over the past 2 days and felt like it was a waste. For 48, I can get 2 T3s (6 items) or for 72, 3 T3s (9 items). I have 2 Orange items and I'm sure both came from T3. When I get Greens in T4, I feel kind cheated.

Well yesterday quite a lot of us got emails saying buy tier 4 boxes as they have rare items ect. maybe they haave increased the drop rate or something.

Theoretical exactly... I got all 10 my orange weapon from T4 RNG. Now if only the mods were in game.

dude i feel your pain i've open about 15 tier 4 box and about 30 tier 3 and got trash out of almost every single one just maybe one or two purple guns was about it

T4 lock boxes are just way overpriced for what they give.
