from what i've seen, there isnt classes, its a game where you choose what type of weapon you wanna use and use it to get your proficiency up. there isnt normal classes such as rogue, mage or anything, it is all dependant on your play style.

What the above poster said. There's no actual classes, you only choose a starting power, and your starting weapon of choice ( which also affect which outfit you start with ) Every weapon you use will level up your skill with it and so on, and in the end you can unlock everything. Its just a matter of selecting which perks and weapons you want to put together with which powers.

Edit: This could help you, too http://defiance-central.com/ego-calc...=72a-&start=72

The sniping seems quite powerful with cloak.

I guess blur would be good for close range weapons.

The decoy might be good for sub machine guns or other quick close range weapons

Overcharge: For assault rifles, rocket launchers, grenade launchers. Things with large clips or extremely small clips. I'm assuming overcharge boosts damage by 25 or 50% once its maxed so imagine that on a rocket launcher, and it instantly reloads your weapon

Also Fortified stance Is something you may thing of as a tank ability it reduces damage.

Personally I'm not the best shooter, however i'm a pretty good support player, so I will probably start with blur since it offers alot of benefits for my team.
