Do you realize that the people creating audio are not, most likely, programmers? If they started working on fixing bugs, they'd probably break more than fix.

I apologize if this comes across as a slam but it is apparent you have no idea how game design works. Who do you think takes the audio and puts it in game in a format that can be used by the games programming? Every person working on silly stuff like this is one less person that could be used to actually fix the broken parts of the game.

And replacing audio takes so much time...

Done, you fail to even attempt to see the point. I bet you are a console gamer only here until the next console game of the week is released.

    You just lost your bet.

If they did nothing but fix bugs, this game wouldn't have left its Alpha stage this early. They are working on new content all the time and they are not going to fix every single bug in the game. In the meantime, they can keep improving it in other aspects. Better sound for vehicles or even actual graphics options for the PC version fall into that category.

Every time I hear it, I remember them saying that they had one in the office and I wonder what was wrong with it.

But seriously though, what part of the physics of driving the challenger make you think of powerful, rewarding, or even fun?

There is nothing 'powerful' about how responsive the challenger is to pressing on the gas. There is no 'over whelming' feeling you get when you go full throttle. There really is ZERO physics when it comes to the vehicles in this game. If the challenger had a deep and powerful voice, it would just be SO out of place when compared to how the vehicle actually runs/handles.

I am a game developer and no it does not take a lot of time. They don't need to rebuild the engine or re-code anything of the sort. If the audio expert simply exports to the correct format (.wav, .mp3, or maybe in-house format) then it's literally a drag, drop, replace scenario then push to whatever version system they're using (GIT maybe?), tested, then pushed to live, compiled, and released which is all normal release chain for any changes so doesn't add any extra overhead. All art and audio assets should work this way as long as names are maintained. Art and audio assets are referenced by a unique name. Just maintain that unique name and it's a couple seconds/minutes fix after the audio has been created by the audio expert.

If I were Dodge and had dumped who knows how much money into the show/game, I'd be pissed about how sh*tty the car sounds in-game.

Side note: What happened to the Verzion ads? Were they just sponsoring the Alpha/Beta or something? Or did they see the show, play the game and pull their money?
