so i decided to try for gold in all races. Got through the first six no problem, but then i get to the ones around top notch and oh boy is it glitchy. the first one i did had an area with lots to crash into, but the damn things wouldn't load until AFTER i hit them. So after a few tries i memorized that spot and stopped hitting the invisible walls. The next one however made me give up. It's the one around the dam, the track is easy compared to the others, the only problem is that after jumping this gap you go downhill and right at the bottom a hellbug nest spawns. You know, the one with the big ****ing truck in the center. So since going around that takes about 4 seconds and makes me lose more time reudjusting myself i always go 4 seconds over time from getting the gold. Now i killed them 3 times but like 2 or 3 min later its back blocking the damn road. So until the runner reseting is fixed so i can get thos extra seconds back with speed boosts or they move that road side event, I am done trying for it. Sorry for the wall of text.

This is more to do with either server lag, many players running the event at the same time or your own internet connection.

Easy fix for first two is to do your gold runs on off peak hours of you can.

The fix for the third maybe as simple as turning off another internnet device and freeing up bandwidth for a better connection. May consider a wired connection if your on wireless.

I have had the sme problems you have and the above really helped me. Btw, marin races are the worst lag wise for some reason.

And sadly there is nothing you can do about emergencies getting in the way. I have lost too many times thanks to a monarch in the way, etc.

the area was empty from what i saw, and i have 10mg speed on wired, **** still takes a while to load when i go too fast. If it keeps this lag up i wont be able to finish any of the more complex tracks. and race tracks need to be event free so they cant do this kinda thing.

Emergencies are part of the game and frankly, make trials interesting imo. Anyways, 10 mg connection? Id either upgrade to the next lvl up or make sure just your ps3 is using internet when you try to do tirals to keep your on network lag as down as possible.

well i live in the country so getting 10 megabytes per second is pretty good, any more would be too expensive, idk the reces seem like more trouble then they're worth, fun at first but certain events showing up make getting gold impossible unless you're really good.

I have gold on all the Time Trials and there are 2 things to keep in mind when doing the time trials.

1. Your runner skill affects the race. The higher your runner skill the better you will do.

2. There will likely be emergency events on the course. Start a race and on the first lap scout the course. If there is an event on the course stop on the second lap and complete the event. Then go back and start the race over you will be able to complete the race before the event respawns.
