Well since you can't seem to grasp the logic that there has only been one episode and also the game hasn't even been out for a full 3 weeks, I'm just gonna leave this topic with this:
Okay jassu, I love you bye bye!!

Character Name: Scath Madrai (NA/Xbox)
Founder of The Vault Hunters
Pretty much all of the inter-connectivity that I've noticed has been pretty much incidental. Which is to be expected, really, for an initial release of a game and a series premier.
From what I've noticed there's;
- Most of the races are present in both TV and game
- Varus is mentioned in the TV show
- The 99ers are mentioned in the TV show
- There's one Bioman in the TV show
- Nolan & Irissa are present (duh lol)
- Nolan is using a Wolfhound pistol
- The Lawmen are using Frontier bolt-actions in their first scene
As you can see, there really isn't a LOT of "OMG I totally notice that!!!" cross-references (which, again, is to be expected for initial release for both game and show), but they're there. They're in the details.
The creatures they run into in the show are actually referenced in one of the audio logs in the game IIRC. They are called something wolves. Otherwise, the whole reason Nolan crossed the Great Divide to end up in Defiance is because he had Varus on his ***, the whole reason he could activate the tech that saved them in the show was because we helped him get the crystal in the first place too. The Arkfalls are different yes, but the game is in early development and that was a notably rare Arkfall in the show (hence why the loot was so valuable) and Nolan happened to be one of the closest parties to it so he beat all the other scavengers except the Spirit Riders which seem somewhere between raider and ark hunter. There will be more connectivity and second season we'll even be able to impact the show itself through our actions instead of just playing through a prepared story. I expect Hellbugs will make an appearance at the very least since everything runs on their petrahol.
I'm Era (Account name: Strifera) on PC-NA. Friend me if you'd like in game or on the forums.
I would have to disagree. A lot of it originally stemmed from AOL Instant Messenger and other internet based chat systems in the 1990s, which were in wider use before it all filtered and expanded over to cell phones. Cell phone texting wasn't even in common public usage back then. Christ, those that could text back then were still paying per text and per talk minute. You didn't have plans like you do now.
But the internet instant chat systems were already using the butchered language that is everywhere nowadays.
Other than Ark Falls and some boring NPC's the TV series and the game have nothing in common at all. Where is the Volge? WTF dark matter? What alien races other than the robo borg pale bald things? TV show is far more interesting and fleshed out than the barren Defiance game world we have right now. There aren't even populated towns in the game for example. You'll maybe come across some lawn chairs and a dumpster that sells guns.
