Help please

This is really embarrassing but I really need help. I am level 750, but I do really poor damage in co-op maps and do horribly in PvP. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I only get around 12-15 kills in co-op maps, so I really need help. I use an assault rifle and a bolt-action sniper rifle. I really want to do better and I feel like I am always letting my group down. Thanks for reading.

Aim for criticals and don't stop shooting is the best advice I can give.

Don't use the sniper rifle, kind of useless if you ask me. Run and spray is more like it in this game, not really precision aiming at all.

VBI tac rifles are the best aslt. rifles right now since they shoot in burst and are great for doing heavy damage

Sniping is very very situational in this game and a lot of them are junk. The good ones have the higher fire rates and mag capacity. Always go for crit shots at all times and learn how the different enemies behave to be able to maintain crits. Use overcharge for group missions or arkfalls at the end of a mag since it reloads automatically for maximum damage while hitting the crit spot. Be sure to focus on hip or aim shooting depending on your mod/ability/weapon specs. Shotguns seem to be the default best weapons for PvP particularly if they have a high fire rate. Aim more? Being top for damage is not always the "best" especially if you're in a group that ignores ranged enemies or doesn't revive.

Don't forget to change up weapons once they are max level to gain experience for that weapon type for better overall stats. It seems a lot of people forget to do that and the modifiers really help.

Yeah? Yes they have a high damage and when you aim for the weak spot high damage will be done. But isn't the fire rate and amount of damage in the end outclass by AR or LMG? They can pump out shots faster and easy. I feel the movements in this game is too chaotic to line up shoots with a sniper, but then again I never been a sniper person.

I find that some of the vot bolters actual have a fast fire rate and can out damage a lmg or ar on certain enemies.

Many people use shotguns for pvp so go that route if you so chose. I however recommend the infector it kills easier than most people think in pvp of course depending on the kind of infector. A sniper one or auto infector one works best.
