After buying a vehicle, is there really a point of using scrip?

I finally finished downloading the game so I know nothing, but...
Is scrip, the ingame money for Defiance? If so, please never say "Do any of you really use a lot of scrip? It's just so easy to come by."

My 16yrs of MMO experience tells me this is not the case. Even when it is, things will change. Trust me on this.

I got over 500k scrip... I'm not even trying! I just run a lot of instances and have to constantly sell all the rubbish. I wouldn't mind buying a Cerberus to use at an arkfall *hint, hint Trion*. Also, mutants get a transport helicopter... I wouldn't mind having one of those either!

Have any of you lost a weapon, even without selling it? I lost a powerful weapon the VBI TACC Assault Rifle, it just randomly disappeared..

Ive spent s much money on weapons at this point only 2 have them disapear from my weapon slots or inventory. Ive made so many tickets now with no responses to the issues. Again real life money is being wasted here

At 10x your level or so I've noticed, if you make it to cap, that'll be a lot of scrip But then again by that point you won't NEED to respec as you'll have everything maxed Otherwise, yeah, the most you'll ever really need at one time is 25k for the random purples at the vendors as well as leveling up weapon skills and buying vehicles that are on the vendors hourly deals. Not much else really.

I absolutely love buying weapons, burning up their xp and then, wait this is the good part - throwing them out!! Wait - i am going to log in right now just so i can throw out all of the sweet weapons i have - (/logout)

They need a repair sink for shields and guns. That would so something with the excess scrip.

Repair bills are the most annoying money sink there is.
Green mods for 3k a piece, fast travel costs scip or something along those lines is much better imo.

There's not dirtbikes yet and they haven't been confirmed as being added. I'm sure they will be though, probably with DLC. You can buy new vehicle colors, new weapons (sometimes the stores have specials which are kinda pricey but they're nice weapons). That's it until they add new things.

They should add a way to exchange scrip for bits.
