what kind of literature do you have on the world?” They expected four or five pages, we gave them 200.
We have an example of a character who leaves the show mid-season and comes into the game. The character has a specific type of personality - not a very nice one - in the show, then comes to the game and goes on missions with the player.
The EGO also gives you powers, the super speed, the cloak, all that kind of stuff. So the EGO’s this powerful implant that gives you abilities that other people in the Bay Area don’t have.
We haven’t picked one 100% yet, but we’re looking at a boxed product, so you’ll go to the store and you’ll buy it, or potentially download it through something like PSN. And then you have a choice – it’s dual – where you can decide “I want to pick things and pay for them piecemeal”, or “I can pick a subscription, and get all of that stuff as I go, and get all of the DLC free as long as I’m subscribed.” So that’s kind of the model we’re looking at. I like being able to have a choice between f2p and sub - I think that's a good idea. I also found this interesting:
So it could be done: having everyone play together, but as others have said it's technically possible but won't happen because of the console companies' rules/regulations. Still I think it is interesting that they play cross-platform internally.ZAM: If I’m playing on the PC, will I encounter Xbox or PlayStation 3 players?
Hill: No. We can do that right now – the PCs are playing with the PlayStations – and every day we put out a build for each, and we all play together. Unfortunately the first parties – Sony and Microsoft – aren’t too keen on us doing that, so no. We’re not allowed to.
We may assume by what Rob Hill says in the interview about 200 pages of the Defiance Bible lore that we may see other cities in the game. I think it would be amazing. But u knows.
