    Question about port forwarding.

    Hello,

I`m trying to open my modem/router ports in hope that i can finally download the game (i have try`d pretty much everything else the last 8 days) So i got to the point where i`m in the port forwarding screen. But there are 2 collums i can fill in under port range a start and an end range. Now i know the port numbers TCP ports 80, 443, 50000, 6540, and UDP 40000-45000.

My problem is, each port has a start and an end range so what do i fill in where? Is it for example start 80, end 443? Can anyone around here tell me how exactly i fill in these ranges?

    Thanks in advance.

Per your example, no. You want to assign each individual port. So you would put Start: 80 End: 80; Start: 443 End: 443; and so on for the rest. For the UDP port, that would go as per you example. Start: 40000 End: 45000.

Could you list what you have tried?? Reason being that it's possible you could have missed something someone else here could spot for you. My first thought would be that either your anti-virus or firewall is blocking the website and has it labeled as a bad site. Could be as simple as going into one or the other and manually authorizing Trionworlds as a safe site.

Well port forwarding didnt help either..

    I`v done so far:
    Run as admin
    Turned off firewall/antivirus
    Adding Defiance to firewall
    Clean boot state
    Port forwarding
    Sacrificed a goat

I never had any issue`s with other launcher/patchers from other games, i can even download Rift, which is also a Trion game, smoothly.

    Edit:
My issue, it downloads for a little bit, most of the times around 700mb, and then download just stops for whatever reason.

To get it downloaded as quick as I could (if possible), I would contact support via Live Chat and see if they could provide an alternative download site (such as an FTP server) or if they had any ideas as to what the problem is (which I doubt anyone, including myself, could tell you to try anything at this point that you haven't already). Also, just on the curious side, I would call my ISP and see if they see any kind of time-outs on their end from my connection. Other than all this, I honestly don't know what else to tell you to try. If I can think of or come across anything/anyone else that's had this problem with a solution, I'll post it back here.

EDIT: Also, if you were a Beta/Alpha tester, you deleted the Beta/Alpha client/patch didn't you??

EDIT: Here's another post I found that had this solution: (seems a bit iffy to me, but...)

If you're getting a patcher error, DON'T close your current patcher and don't click OK. Just leave it alone and open another patcher instead and it should resume normally.
