    Artists' Corner

    Don't hurt me.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of forum users who enjoy art; making it or looking at it or listening to it or reading it. I feel like every forum needs an artists' corner. So, I decided to make this topic in order to help other artists or to just look at/listen some cool art/music. I hope you guys can make use of this topic too!

Here's an artist I wanna share with you guys, she goes by the name of ReiTuki and I've admired her work for a long time, I even managed to commission her too! She's awesome, you should check her stuff out.

I don't have any bands I want to pimp out right now, so here is my last.fm. I have a wide range that I like and listen to (or I like to think I do), maybe you'll find stuff you like too?
What you could do in this topic
    • Sharing music/poems/stories/photos/pictures you made, for feedback or just to show off.
    • Sharing music/poems/stories/photos/pictures you found inspiring/moving and you want others to see/hear it too.
    • Talk about technique and sharing tutorials.
    • Discuss art/music programs.
    • Discuss art museums or music gigs or book releases.
    • <Other art related stuff here>

Artist wise i love almost all the old surrealsts such as delvaux/max ernst/dali/magritte.
Besides them these modern days i like many artist.

For example Amy Sol/ZANG ZI WON/BOO SAVILLE/pff to many to name.In the end i ll always return to the surrealists thats for sure.

Btw nice paintwork there Kitty, wish i could do that with digitale but i miss the touch off wood(i work on wooden panels) + i cant smash and scrath on my screen lol.

But nice really well done work keep it up+btw have you done some more soundfragmentarys???

Myself atm arent dong to well, should be working for a upcomming expo but to make it short i am kinda stuck lol.But as ussual a few days before i have to ahve it all done ill fly trough it.
+been working on some new tracks, when i have some kk versions ill put them here.

This is a link to ooooold site off mine when i did some digital work aswell, more then 6 years ago.
Dont judge me to hard lol was only just begining with photoshop.

    www.oreursus.com

And this is a old.also years ago, mini thing i made to put on myspace (was mini album)

    http://www.myspace.com/sabalmedok

This was 1 off a serie for a QR expo last year [IMG][/IMG]

And this one i love its a digital reproduction of a painting i made, the painting i burned and put it in a urn.
That i made for a group expo about dreams. My wife wasnt happy as she wanted the painting to be hung in the house.
    [IMG][/IMG]

.Btw i do use photoshop in some cases as you can see,but i still dont know how to use it.
Might sound stupid but if i start to think how i have to so it i cant do ****,if i let myself go
with the movement it al works out.

Then again i have months i can make jack cause it doesnt feel right or it jsut gives me the middlefinger, but when it flows i can be gone for a month or 2 in our attick and my wifes fine with that for wich ofc i am greatfull.

Lol if i buy 2 games a month for example ill get hell, yet iff i give out money a tenfold for paint or wooden panelss all is fine .

@Duskky: OMG. That artist. Okay, instant bookmarked. O_O
I like this one a lot

@fsol: Ahh, I'm looking at Amy Sol's stuff now, I really like the tones. @_@

I prefer to draw sketches on paper with a biro pen because I like the feeling. The grip of the ink on the paper and that little "tic" sound you get when you lift the pen from it. If digital painting or drawing could have the feeling of drawing on paper I'd be a happy cat.
I haven't done any more soundthingys, I should probably make them when I'm pissed off to see how they'd come out. It'd probably sound more aggro than the one I made previously - I did that original one when I was hyped up and happy. That should be fun to do.

What are you stuck with exactly? Just a general block? Those are a pain...
Ahh! your stuff for the expo(s) reminds me a little of iumazark's work, though they just do drawings. It gives me a similar feeling. I really like it, do you usually go for stories behind your images or are you just going with your feelings? I normally rely on feelings and let them drive the picture, I think it's why I struggle with doing commissions for people - I can't make the connection?

I normally do the best stuff when I feel like poo

I've been using Photoshop for 6 years and I don't know that much about it either. I just use what I know for my work on IMVU/SL. I don't really need filters or anything for that though.
I do when it comes to really bad edits of my photos. I love messing with my face. These are all "ironic" photo edits. Not serious at all.

I'm actually a bit of an artist myself when I really put some work into it. I'm a fan of manga and anime, and here is a picture of Naruto that I drew about 5 years ago by hand from looking at a picture by the original artist. I was going to send it in as fan art to Shonen Jump, but I never got around to it.
