so i bought a 320 gig hard drive for my xbox and when i plug it in it says it has no available space? I couldnt really find anything on google about a procedure for installing a new hard drive? I thought it would of been a simple swap? Let me know if i am missing something please.

what Xbox 360 console do you have? I'm assuming that the 320 GIG HD is from a limited edition console? they may not be compatible together

This seems like a legit product and the seller has a high percentage of positive, also you wouldn't be able to ask Microsoft for any help on the HD because it is not and official HD
Are you from the US yourself? As I have heard that the consoles have minor differences in HD's and game read data, I don't know how true this is, but its just a theory.
ya i am an american, by the sounds of it i think i got a dudi am talking with the seller now; they want a pic of the hard drive in my xbox? that seems weird
Does the xbox detect the HD but show that it has no space left on the HD?
when i first install it; my xbox says i have to download the new update to my hard drive. when i click ok it says it doesnt have enough recommended space of like 178mb but when i try to cancel the install it then says i have no hard drive in place.
it defiantly sounds like you have a faulty HD, and its not recognizing the space avalable
