Game wont start when clicking play in Launcher.

So, after troubleshooting all day to get the patcher alone to work. Now I have this problem, I've finally patched the game and am ready to play. However, when I click on Play nothing happens. At all.

Any ideas?

Are the servers down or something?

Don't worry, you aren't missing much. The game has been bugged all down and really in an unplayable state. See all of the various threads floating around about it.

Yeah, I've been reading all the problems. It's really sad, and think I paid money for this game. Guess I'll be waiting next year for the Developers to get they're **** together.

Same thing here -- just shelled out $ for the game, downloaded and the play button doesn't work. I liked Rift and played it for about a year but my goodwill for Trion is now wearing thin. Hopefully this gets fixed soon -- if anyone knows a workaround please by all means share. - Tate

Does opening the launcher as administrator work? Solved a lot of problems for me in Windows 7.

Yeah, I have the same problem. Running the game as an administrator doesn't work.

I too, have the same issue. I put in a ticket to support over 5 days ago, no reply except for a canned auto response.
