Hmm, that's an interesting challenge.
After doing a bit of research, you could check out Gurren Lagann. The character Yoko Littner uses a modified Barret M82. Then there's Saito from Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. He isn't the main main character, but he is definitely one of them. Then there's Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. She's not a main character, but features pretty heavily in the show. Plus, her last name is Hawkeye for goodness sake. That's all I got for now.

I already knew Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist. I will check out the other two though. Thank you. I just got tired of seeing characters fight with swords and magic in Animes; it is the main reason I stopped watching them.
