Sony just takes their time with approving the updates and they won't give even the publisher/developer a time frame.

There's no real why here, any more than why it takes Apple a day to approve an app sometimes and sometimes it takes two months.

But thanks for the heads, sounds like a realistic date. And I'm on the road all next week anyway - so if it pans out, it will be waiting for me when I get back.
You may very well be right though it's been stated by a few "net celebrities" Sony's history and perhaps protocol was two patches a month.

As a PS3 player, we will defiantly be on the back end of patches. I was told that anytime they take down the game they do have the ability to fix minor gameplay issues server side. I guess that is a silver lining though 9 more days until the patch is a bit long considering how long we've waited so far.
The sad part of this thread's existance, is it shouldn't exist at all... Trion has a thread for patch notes. What should have been done, is that thread should have been updated with this information. I hold Trion accountable for the lack of information especially if they knew the date all along, and instead posted "ASAP" As Soon as possible, to me, is the same as "Comming Soon" which lead me to believe the patch would come within a week, not 2 and a half weeks. Trion, wake up and do your job properly, when you know a date, simply state it, if it is a date subject to change, state that as well, it should not be up to your fourm members to find this information out, and relay it to your customers, you have been good up to this point, you need to retain the information you relayed before the Patch, otherwise people will think you left them in the dust.

A son leaves his parents house, never speaks to them for years on end, His mother passes away from cancer, the son yells at his father "Why didn't you tell me she was sick, why didn't you call..." The father states, "We hadn't heard from you in years, we tried calling the residence you lived at, only to find that you no longer lived their, we emailed you with no response, and you never gave us your cell phone number when you left the family plan, we Figured you forgot about us".

Edit: Given the fact I chose cancer for the metaphor above, I felt I should explain it. The Son, is Trion, or Sony, I frankly don't care which, The mother, is the Patch, or lack their of. And the Father, is us the gamer. We have requested information on numerous threads, about the patch we thought was dead and broken, we have not heard a peep from Trion whom is in damage control, but has with-held this date from us for some time. So, in essence, the son left home, no word on how he was doing, or what he was doing, his mother passes away, from cancer, while the father and mother durring her treatment, had been begging their son, to come home and see his mother. He never came until his mother had passed away.

Given the current state of information I doubt we'd have heard any information until the 28th or 29th only reason this changed is due to the kindness of EvilOps, and by the time we got the patch information of release, be it the 28th or 29th, I doubt many would care much, because we had waited for so long the hype of the fixes, would have been simply "Finally..." instead of "Woot, fixes"

To be honest the coop and shadow war instances seem to be at least somewhat more reliable even without the patch. Spawning into bad coop maps is still waaaayyyy too common, but at least I've managed to play Chronkite a couple of times.

I'm sorry but this thread smacks of speculation on the Op's part, without proof that's all it can be taken as!

A trion rep told him the patch date? If Trion knew the date I'm sure they'd be letting everyone know and not annoying there loyal ps3 customers more than they already have.

As for a bigger and better patch again it's speculation if the patch is going through approval at Sony TRion would have to pull it from them and resubmit it for approval again if they made serious changes to it therefore starting the approval cycle again ...

Not bashing on the Op but unless he can provide proof of anything he's said then I'm sorry but I'm calling shenanigans!

I'm sure if a date was set, we would have heard about it from a reliable source. I can say an earthquake is gonna hit Zimbabwe in 9 days. Doesn't mean it's gonna happen, but it holds about as much water as this thread does. Get proof before you post something as substantial as this.

No reps at Trion know the official date. This thread is being closed for false information.
    Thanks
