Thoughts on...?

Wonder if this leaves a stale taste in anyone else's mouth...
SmG's, LMG's, and ARs all use the same ammo. I'm sure somewhere out there in bullet land these 3 types of weapons could/would/ and do use the same ammo but kind of a bummer in this game.

Anyone else's thoughts on this?

I've found a few occasions where I've ran dry for my LMG. Usually only on mini bosses, co-OP bosses, or major arkfalls if nobody is killing the minions.

You won't get ammo drops from kills made by other players, at least that isn't what I have been seeing. Anything you kill or did decent damage to should drop so I just make sure I kill a few tiny enemies in arkfalls.

All bosses have ammo crates, instead of the normal style they are static blue glowing boxes.

I seen the one by jacklleg joe but I know if I see a hulker you have to look around for one if need be, is there an ammo crate in the dukosu(spelling) fight?

For me, it made using anything besides an lmg out of smgs, ars and lmgs a waste. Mathematically anyways. Im sure each of these gun types use the same ammo, well smgs and ars, and ars and lmgs. I cant see why lmgs and smgs would use the same ammo. But this should be cancelled out, since in most cases ammo is what measures the damage, not the gun. Not saying certain guns dont have a part in damage.

Smgs breeze through 500 bullets, while doing abit more or less then half the damage the lmg does. To me this is just wasting ammo. Because of this i dont use smgs.

I'm using SmG's just to get the rank 5 part of the pursuit... After that I could care less.
