Stats bugged after server crash

Hoping this is being fixed now. I logged out around 7:30pm EDT with about 340 EGO. Logged in 20 minutes ago with 1279 EGO. Was typing a bug report when I was kicked as the server went down. I normally hate rollbacks but it seems like that is about the only solution at this point.

For me it doesn't seem to be bad. I kinda liked it. I have another toon that where untouch by the effect and if i want to be legit with myself and play with my friend that just bought the game i'll go with that one.

Fact is, almost everybody is at a neutral spot in the game with random stuff thrown at them, some have lost (like myself) Solution is that they will do a server rollback, and probably another patch update to prevent this from happening again. Their DEV's are in a competition of their own for getting to 5k ego rank, and if they were affect as much as i was (and i was at 2.7k ego) then it will be fixed, everybody will have their stuff back, and we can enjoy the game again. I suggest to people to stop what they are doing, in case of the rollback.

I have a feeling our characters all got overwritten with a another character, Hope this gets fixed soon because I am certain a lot of us will lose interest in the game. I for one am not creating another character.

Any of you had female characters changed to male by any chance? would support my theory of character replacement.

My character had the same stats after reset.

Hope when they fix it it doesn't take away my EGO rating, I was already around 1200 without the bug. Better not get lumped in with everyone else that received it.

On the one hand my weapon skills almost all gone, and nothing matches my pursuits anymore
On the other I had a few ego points that were not there before and a small jump in ego

Having to grind the guns again may suck if there is no roll back, hope there is one myself.
But the xp gained from doing so and more ego points would be nice

I had the Level 20-40 roller bug happen and it rest to 0 so this isnt the first time I've lost progress
yet gained ego and xp from it later on...so good with the bad but hope for a rollback

I've read threads where one person will vent their frustration and then have another person respond that this is a new MMO and it is bound to have bugs for Trion to work through so just be patient. Usually a follow up response will point out that Defiance isn't as bad as some other MMO launches. ...So my question is are we now getting into ridiculous territory with this stat glitch, or is this still to be tolerated as a growing pain?

Still tolerated here. I wasn't affected by the bug but many of my clanmates were confused and talking about it. Stuff happens. Sometimes it's crazy. Sometimes servers crash. The game is still new and as such, will likely see more bugs crop up and zany this or that. If people like the game, they'll bear with the hiccups and problems, because there is a light at the end of that tunnel and it's shiny and fun. Trion and the Defiance devs are not wanting their baby to be sick and so they're going to do everything they can to make it better. I trust in that. Others may or may not.

I'll be sticking with it. The game and series are great, but yeah with every new MMO launch, shtako inevitably happens. They're even talking about having a public test server in the future to prevent stuff like this happening in the long term. They care. Just have to try to be patient and stick with it if you like the game.

EDIT: I just wish I'd logged in and Nim was defeated for me. That boss makes me a sad panda.
