What happened tonight is kind of common on a MMo its the char data base corrupting and shifting data around. Lets me rephrase that it is common for a alpha or beta build to happen ...not after release.

Also a note you wouldnt hack the game server to take CC info you would hack trion's main page for that.

So, I've seen lots of people with store bought outfits and vehicles... Can anyone who has bought bits tell me if they save your credit card info?

To me that seems like a bigger deal than EGO and weapon levels being all messed up

Anyway, gonna go wait for the rollback, lets just hope it's a glitch and not some shtako messing around with anyone's RL scrip!

Trion I'm pretty sure goes through a third party vendor in terms of purchasing items for in-game stores/subs. They've had mine on file for Rift so it's there.

Rift was compromised early on like a ton of others, but all they got were email addys, hashed passwords and maybe real names/addresses. But financial stuff was untouched.

While I play on Xbox (I know...), the best way I've found to secure your RL scrip is to use a re-loadable Visa debit card (like you can get at Wal*mart). Then, you toss a small amount (say $20-$50) on the card and use it to buy stuff online (in the event of a large purchase, put just the needed amount onto it). Then, if the payment server gets hit, the worst you have to deal with is loosing $5 for the card and whatever small amount is on it.

I understand your fustration, but this isnt the first game to do roll backs. Back in the days of EQ1, yes I'm dating myself, SOE did that crap all the time. Rift had a roll back to, there has been many games to do that.
