Final Fantasy Fans?

I like the FF games I've played, though I haven't completed a huge list of them (yet). With classes and stuff, I really only get the time to dig into these games over the summer/breaks... which is why my progress on VII, X, IV are all halted. (Beat XIII, though still have yet to re-accustom myself to the fighting system to play XIII-2).

Currently, I'm looking forward to the re-release of XIV ( I really love the FF aesthetic, and everyone I know who's in the beta have only said good things about it... but then again, I'm not particularly picky with MMO's, so long as there's a living community within it :B )

Once I finish Fire Emblem Awakening, I'll prolly look into picking up one of the Tactics games as well.

holy wow! i had only seen part one yeeeaars ago. that was awsome thanks for sharing. uncool though that out of all the SE characters they have Tifa lose her one on one and then proceed to get even more effed ud :/ still, can't wait for part 6-8

thats the beauty of the franchise! all the games are in a different world, have different gameplay(battle system), and there are always new faces/characters to learn to love or hate. in this waynew comers can start at any game and not be lost. FF also almost always has familier things from earlier games that long time fans can enjoy(cid, moogles,crystals). because they are ever changing, people may like one game or a few or all of them.
[exclude XIII from all of this, a blemish on the fine face of Final Fantasy! unlucky number i guess]

Final Fantasy FXIV is going to be epic! not commercial epic like using epic to describe the scrambled eggs i ate this morning. i mean genuinly EPIC! Square-enix is going way back through the series to input things all the FF. they just put up a video that you can get a magitek armour mount from FFVI.

btw if you want to try an FFT go with the original for PS1 or the original remade for PSP. the ones on DS are pretty good but nothing beats the mastery that is the original. love it from the dramatic story to its mispellings and typos

yeah he was a beast! but what was even more beastly was having ramza learn Two Swords,from ninja job, hamedo from monk, equip him with Excalibur AND Save the Queen as a armour clad Knight with Guts and you got yourself a behemoth slayer!

(of course you can give him two excaliburs but i frown upon cheats. but after going thru a game 50+ times what the hell, give em two)

I am the biggest final fantasy fan out there, i've beaten them all with the exception of ff11 and ff14 due to lack of gameplay and not feeling like doing tons of work with a monthly pay. My favorite final fantasy games are: Final Fantasy 6 (playstation version with cinematics/ Sabin figaro ftw), FF8 (loved the GF and card battling), and FF9 (vivi, enough said). Favorite characters would have to be: Sabin from FF6, Cecil from FF4, and of course Vivi from FF9

I was a huge fan of the series up until 13, which is still all around bad in my eyes. My best friend has to be the biggest Lightning fanboy in existance, so all of his talk about how it's the most fantastical FF game ever just had me sick of it all over again. Pretty lame that they made 13-2, even worse that 13-3 is a real thing.

I played FFXIV on it's original release, stuck with it for about two months and then returned to it after all of the original developers were fired. I had such a blast, did all of the available content multiple times before they took it down to do A Realm Reborn. I'm very pleased with what they've done with that game but I don't think i'll ever return to it. I'm fine with the ending being a group of adventurers stopping the moon from falling to the planet..but then turning out to be a prison for a godly summon and it being destroyed anyway. Going to pretend my character died. lol

are you on the ps3 beta? i signed up for that twice! still...can't wait for the finished product.

I signed up for it, but I've been playing the PC beta since they started phase 2. I'm going to wait until the beta is finished before I make up my mind to buy the game or not. Until then, more Final Fantasy 5 & 6. lol

a fan till 13? what 13 it goes from Final Fantasy 12 to 14....honest @.@
unfortunatly cause i work at a game store i pass 13 every day and the fan boy in me wants to buy it back after selling my xbox for a ps3. but nooooo! i can't do it i'll hate it all over again!

as for FFXIV come man rejoin the adventurers of Eorzea. let your charcters descendents live on in the new world! I'll hit you up on PSN too i use a keyboard as well but i'm getting a mic tomorrow
