Tier 4 Lockboxes Are Pathetic. Work Your Butt Off For Garbage

Because those vendor specials seem to have been hit by the "NERF" hammer as well recently, as I haven't seen a single Purple weapon on Special anymore for almost a week now. It's mostly green With the ocasional blue now. Nothing special at all anymore!
And I fast travel to every available vendor every day when I log in to check the sales.

bought a purple ground pounder before game went down, a VBI shotgun and a bolt action derailer yesterday all purple....and those are the ones I bought not all the ones I saw. They have most definitly not been nerfed

I only buy the Tier 3 lockboxes but I find myself just buying the Synergy Mods as those are always good to have on hand for later~
Last time I opened a box, managed to pull out an orange VBI Assault Rifle (Same type you get from Nolan, but better stats) with some awesome perks.
Course adding the attachment slots are a pain, and expensive.....

In the first week or two or so I always saw mostly blue and Purple on the specials. Almost never a green.
Now it's the other way around. Mostly greens and blues and I haven't seen a Purple anymore on Special for days.

Weapons and mods are consumables until you max. At max its just a min/max situation which, by then, it really doesnt matter -that- much in pvp and in pve even less.

Don't get lock boxes. Just don't. They are only there so people can try and get a boost by using real world money. None of them are any good. Think about it, a white assault rifle does 222 damage. Guess what an orange does? 222. Sure, it might have a tiny boost... say a .80% faster reload speed, but is that really worth it? Besides, the odds of getting an orange in a T4 lock is like... 2% Just kill things and you'll rack up orange weapons just as fast. Unless you blow a hundred dollars. But then you're just dumb. Or Bill Gates. In which case, I am sorry I called you dumb. Please let me touch your pee nus.

All I ever buy is Tier 4 lock boxes. Most of the times I get at least a purple out of them . both PC & PS3 combined I got 1 orange infector which is cool. I tend to get the same rarity from major arkfalls. Besides a purple shield & grenade I've gotten multiple purple pistols so I've become pretty skilled with pistols. Also got a purple sub machine gun.

Given how little gear matters compared to the ability to aim - what's the big deal?

Personally I had 4 oranges from t3 lockboxes before I finished the main quests. Random is random.
