Go to the top of the building's 3rd floor. Mobs don't spawn on that level and there is a convenient ammo restock box. Just stay up there and snipe away. You can also just restore 2 of the 3 turrets and mobs just keep respawning. (Would post the name of the area but PC server is down)
    It's alamo park
I suppose it can work if you let them destroy the console in the end, they will keep respawning, but you will never win it. However, those are DM, and are more difficult to snipe than your regular mutants.

I'm currently doing Bolinas. I want the pursuit for the outfit, and I don't like sniping. Increasing my sniper rifle XP is the least of my concern.

I just go down to San Fran near one of the Dark Matter Mission areas. Set up a spot just outside the normal mission Area . Switch to my Sniper Load out with all its Great Awesome Perks. Kneel down and start picking off head shots. ((Best not to shoot more then once, repeated shots can draw Back up in force)) if I draw too much attention . II'm far enough to give myself enough time to switch to my Med to close Range Loadout with my Assault Rifle & BMG (Gotta Love BMG's)

Why are so many people using the hotshot to finish this? who wants a bolt action skill of 10 when you could have 17 when finished? @Instantgratification@

Personally hope they remove any sort of hotshot/etc from giving kills towards these pursuits. Completely defeats the purpose, again IMO.

Personally trying to get the pursuit done with gaining weapon xp.
Since I want to level all the weapon skills to max it only makes sense to gain the skill to go with the title.

Bolinas Sniper is fairly quick if you have enough perks to boost your damage to the point where you can one shot the 99'ers without a headshot(excluding goldrushers and the blacklung).

I had hunter's stance, ambush, height advantage, sucker punch, nerves of steel(not sure if it does anything in this challenge), and assassin's cache(it does work in the challenge) and lv5 bolt-action sniper.

With that setup I also finally managed gold on that challenge, and I'm not that good with the sniper rifles in this game.

Dark Matter are much easier to snipe than mutants. Mutants tend to jink around for no reason (less than Raiders, more than Dark Matter). Dark Matter are largely stationary unless you set them on fire.

    kill little bugs too

I got 200 or so in less than an hour on large groups of bugs. I used a "reach a certain weapons skill" weapon on the warriors and the sniper on all others. There are a few areas like just NE of bug and chug where if you are alone the enemies continue to spawn with very little downtime. It takes some effort but eventually you get pretty good at nailing those little buggers. I also used a sniper rifle with high fire rate to get some non aiming lucky kills when they are in large groups.
